Uma (and other VKs!!) was never the main problem (yeah, she's a villain in d2 in that situation, but from her perspective she just wanted to escape with her friends and give freedom to people). She did all that violent things as she has been taught. But the root of the problem is the society that put her (them all) in that situation. The society who thinks that they can decide who deserves human rights and who don't.

So, i wanted to say that we can't blame VKs for their desire to get a good life. Of course their intentions at first sight were evil but mainly they wanted to make their parents proud, it was their way to succeed (well idk how to say it better). But when they realised that they have more ways in life they all changed.

Descendants doesn't have more fan content than Ever After High because it's better. Actually, it has more fan content because it's worse. There are so many plot holes and unanswered questions in the Descendants universe that most fans are just scrambling to fix.

A big difference between EAH and Descendants are their timelines. Descendants being a crossover of almost every single Disney movie means that dozens of fictional kingdoms from different time periods are suddenly coexisting in a twenty-first century utopia. Meanwhile, the fairy tales that EAH mixes together don't have a canon time period. They all exist in a modern fantasy world disconnected from our own.
