Ever after high and descendants are both stories about the teenage kids of fairytale characters going to highschool but their differences are fascinating. Ever after high is a religious cult where generations have believed that if you don't do exactly what your destiny is you and everyone else will die. Descendants are about abused children conforming to beliefs so they can leave a prison island without proper food to people who put them there in the first place.

Bridgerton would be leagues better if instead of doing a taming of the shrew plot with Eloise. They chose instead to do a ten things I hate about you with her as Patrick and Edwina as kat.

The problems with Eloise and her ending are the same as those with HIMYM's ending. HIMYM ends with Ted and the mother getting married, then she has kids and dies, and later, years go by, Ted ends up with Robin. They created this ending in the show's early days, when the kid characters still looked young, so everything was already written years before the show ended. However, the show had several more seasons than the creators planned. These extra seasons became the show's undoing as Ted and Robin drifted apart, and they as a romantic couple became unlikely. The same thing is happening with Eloise; her ending is already written in stone to end up like her book's counterpart from the beginning. However, to fill up space in seasons, we have drifted Eloise so far away from her book's starting point that the ending makes no sense. The writers wanted Daphne and Eloise to have a Meg and Jo dynamic in season one, so they made Eloise more tomboyish and not want to get married or have kids. They gave her a subplot and a popular love interest in season two, which the general audience latched onto. Season three had Eloise in a subtextual sapphic relationship and didn't start planting any seeds for her book fate. We are four seasons in, and there are no seeds that work with her future.

Just because Jurian was planning on betraying Hybern the whole time doesn't excuse the fact that he made rape jokes about Elain in the same room as her sister. Elain shouldn't have to be friends with a man who made jokes about her being raped, just because he wasn't really working with the evil overlord.
