a fucked up little comic i came up with that i wanted to be a 4 part series but eventually dropped because the idea just was not coming together at all, i still like the individual parts on their own as their own little edgy vignettes and im really proud of some of the art but over all the thing just wasnt working so im sharing it here. of course content warning for everything that makes apple ios mad, mainly gore, mindbreak and body horror

so! a page! this was a revisiting (for me) of an old old old. OLD. page I drew over ten years ago immediately after seeing a local production of the musical. usually when I revisit and edit ancient drafts, I gut a lot of it in the process of re arranging the insides, but this was one where I was like: AH. I see your vision, past self, now I can articulate it and draw shoes.

in the WIP story that all the stuff with kay and perceval takes place in, perceval spends a not insignificant amount of time trying to bait kay into fighting him again. kay usually declines because this is irritating and the last time they fought, perceval broke his arm. (de Troyes, Wolfram, etc) circumstances align in perceval's favor when arthur bans kay from participating in the tournaments for extremely normal reasons on the same day perceval drops out because of a hand injury (Didot Perceval: "And with him was Perceval the son of Alain li Gros who was very sad because he had not jousted, but he was wounded in his hand so he could not joust there at all.")
