i hope you know my soul fully vacated the premises the second stranger things ended. i’m just wandering around like a sim whose player stopped clicking. and honestly? i still don’t know how i feel about that ending. eleven was such a phenomenal character, so having her kind of… suspended like that, without any real emotional payoff, felt weirdly hollow. like they built her entire arc just to leave her hanging in narrative limbo. but i did love that final scene with the boys and sadie’s character in the den, playing d&d one last time—the way it handed the torch over to holly’s friends was actually really sweet. it felt like closing a book and immediately seeing the next generation scribbling in the margins. how are you doing with it? it’s been a few months since filming wrapped—are you already deep into something new, or still sitting in the emotional rubble with the rest of us, trying to process? / @limelightkeery

I know the ending had its flaws, but I don't think I could've written a better finale, you know? But that's just me. I write music because it's just a few verses and a chorus, maybe a little bridge. Not 2 hours of action and dialogue. So not my place to comment on it, I guess. I'm actually promoting a movie right now, and prepping for a mini tour. So my world has kept turning on. It's kinda nice.

Yeah, they all capture pretty well the energy of the year they're each set in. There's a lot of attention to detail with making it feel very '80s, and embrace a lot of the trends that were popular. Not at the same time. Acting and music are so all-encompassing, I have to focus on one and then the other. I'll play music on my off days, but that's not really switching between the two. It's not like playing two characters and going between sets throughout the week. I couldn't do that shit. Good man, that's the way to do it. Better to be annoyingly curious than blissfully ignorant.

Kinda okay with it now, I guess. Sad it's over, grateful it happened, that kinda thing. I like having a bit more freedom to focus on other stuff now. I'm an actor, not a writer or director. Anyway I could even consider changing anything, I don't know shit about that. A song? Easy. TV show? No chance. And Steve got to coach little league, so that's a great ending for him. I'm happy with that.

Oh, I got so emotional watching Finn and Millie read the void scene, both of them crying… I already cried with the episode, but seeing them there, breaking down too? That absolutely wrecked me, honestly. We all knew he had big dick energy, and now thanks to Robin we know it's not just energy. Are you planning to keep acting, or are you going to focus more on Djo? It was tough, doing that read through and trying to hold it together. It felt so weird and cathartic at the same time, you know what I mean? Yep, Big Dick Harrington is canon. Why not both? It feels different but the same - cause I'm not the only one who worked on my album so I still get to celebrate the people I created with. I love festivals cause it means that I can play earlier in the day and then go eat dinner and go to bed at a normal time. I'm old and a grandma at this point.

Yeah, I get that. Even being a solo artist, you're not really doing it solo. Still so many awesome people that make it all happen. Commiserations for not winning, but still an excuse for a party. I've downloaded Raya a couple times, but never really hit it off with anybody. Feels weird doing all that, I like meeting people more naturally. Except that's not the easiest nowadays. I’m glad you’re thriving through the exhaustion. A mini tour in March is huge, I love that for you, even if your sleep schedule absolutely does not. I’ve been good on my end too. Filming an Apple TV+ show, which has been intense but really fun, and in between takes I’m somehow also house hunting with David, which feels like a full-time job on its own.
