I'm not sure when I'm going to be in New York again, but the minute I am, you and I need to get together and have drinks because it's been forever since we've spent any time together. I miss seeing my friend. How have you been? How is life after Stranger Things? I feel like you need to fill me in on everything that's been going on lately. / @nddyer

You need to get your ass to New York as soon as you can so we can have these drinks. It has been forever, and I am missing you, and I want to hear all about what's going on in your life. Life has been boring for me, since Stranger Things ended, I've just been a slug on the couch watching TV and movies. Other than that, I've not been doing much, but I did get another movie project that I am going to start filming. So what about you? What's going on in the world of Michelle?

I'll say that Nancy was pretty much my favorite character on Stranger Things, and the final season she was such a damn badass that I fell in love with her even more. Are you sad to not be playing her anymore? Or are you happy to have moved on and working on other things? @nddyer

Love hearing that Nancy was your favorite, and she was pretty badass, wasn't she? And I'm sad but also happy to be moving forward to new things. I'm excited about the next chapter in my life and to see where I go from here, but Nancy will always be special to me.

I'm going to be in New York for a while getting ready for SNL, and then I'm going to be filming in New York and New Jersey, and since I know you live here, that means we're going to have to meet up and hangout, right? Especially since I'm going to be alone. Hudson has to work in Canada, as he's filming something new, so I'm going to be pouty and pathetic and need a friend to keep me occupied from time to time. Of course that means we're going to meet up and hang out as much as you want to! We can't have you pouty and missing Hudson too much, so I'll make sure to distract you as best as possible. Though it's great that he's filming something new! Right now it's a snowy mess here, right? Want to get together and get drunk and then make snow angels? Because that sounds like a fun time to me. Or we can just make plans to go out to dinner if you don't want to risk hypothermia.

With Stranger Things ending I bet everyone has been asking how you feel about that. And honestly, I get that cause what most people talk about with me these days is OBX finishing filming. Can’t wait for it to be released and people to ask me how I feel about the ending. @nddyer

Yes, so many people have asked me, and I feel like I give a different answer every time because I want to keep things interesting. I can imagine how you feel too, though sadly I didn't realize OBX was ending for some reason I thought you guys had one more season! I'm a little sad now!

Well, I have a rom-com that I'm going to start filming soon, and I would love to be a Hollywood takeover, but I don't know if I've got the chops for that, not like you anyway. Because you're everywhere, and I love that for you since I love seeing you in projects. But I'm not sure I'll ever be at that level.

Millie is a good person to be friends with, so I can't fault you for choosing her first to get to know. But if you're wanting to befriend us all, I can't say that I'm upset by that, and I'm always looking for more friends. And I am happy with Stranger Things being finally done and letting go of Nancy. I'm still sad some days also, but I'm happy it's over, and I can move forward to new projects. I think Nancy is always going to have this huge place in my heart, but it's time to move on. And it's so nice to meet you, Jade.

I feel like given the fact that Charlie was my partner for so many years, I need to say team Jonathan, right? Is that the only real acceptable answer? But I'm kidding, I'm team Jonathan because I just felt he and Nancy were good together. I never thought she was good with Steve.

Now that Stranger Things is over, will we be seeing you in something else soon? Or are you taking a much deserved break? I can only imagine what it feels like to have done a show for over ten years and then have it end. Not trying to make you emotional here. It's just very impressive that it went on for that long. I recently just booked a project called Goodbye Girl. It'll be a rom-com, and I'm pretty excited about doing that, but I have a little bit more of a break before I have to get started on the filming. Oh, I still want to cry about the show ending. Even though I believe it ended when it should, I'm still sad. But I feel okay, I just miss a lot of my costars. I miss getting to see them every day!

We should be thrown in jail for our crimes. How is it possible we live in the same city and barley see each other? We're both way too smart to let this continue on. Unless you're secretly trying to phase me out of your life, which if that is the case, I hate to tell you that it isn't in my stubborn nature to vanish so easily. I don't know if a lot of people have told you this, but Velvet Buzzsaw is probably one of my favorite movies. I don't think it was talked about enough, because it was brilliant. Even if people didn't give it the best reviews, I loved every second of it, and I thought you did a wonderful job in it as well, love. I think it's one of those movies that's a great idea; people just don't get the concept, or they just assume they could execute the idea better, but nope, I thought it was done perfectly. Have you ever thought about doing more dark comedies? / @nddyer

i'm sorry! you've known me long enough to know you can't dangle these things in front of me because i take the bait every time. at least you appreciate my silly jokes, i'm grateful for that. i relate on the downtime being a bit of a change, though like you said, it's fun getting to fill it with things you've meant to do and didn't have the time before, like shows. i’d say pluribis is definitely worth checking out! i’m already hopelessly addicted to it. plus i’m already into the new spin since the first episode was a lot of fun! so, between that and the next season of house of the dragon coming out later this year, we’ll have a lot to look forward to. i promise i’m going to watch heated rivalry, and i feel like i have to since you’re recommending it and so many people seem to like it! i’ll probably need someone to talk about it with after i watch, so that sounds good to me. i’ve seen the trailer for send help and it does look good! always appreciate a good thriller. well, i haven’t seen it yet, but archie’s been obsessed with k-pop demon hunters and finally getting me to watch that with him. he has good taste, so i’m assuming that’s one to watch if you haven’t already! i feel like i’ve already heard the soundtrack everywhere and i like that, so looking forward to finally watching it.

No, I know, and I shouldn't be at all shocked that you'd be the first one to make the joke either, because it's you and you just love to be silly like that. Oh, I'll always appreciate your silly jokes, no matter what, they always made me laugh. It's nice having all this downtime, but it's also a little restless, and I find watching things helps with the restlessness a little at least. And I've been watching the promo for it with Rachel and Dylan, and it makes me want to see it more, because their chemistry is amazing. You're just now watching K-Pop Demon Hunters? I'm so glad Archie convinced you to watch because I loved that! The soundtrack is part of my gym playlist, Charlie, that's how much I love that already.

You're the first person to ever bring up Chestnut with me, so thank you, because I loved doing that project, and it was such a good movie to me too. I would love to do more movies like that, or just more movies in general. Part of me would like to stay away from shows for a while.

i won't sit here and pretend like you aren't one of the biggest stars on television, Netflix, right now and try to hide my fangirling moment. because watching Nancy Wheeler transform from the sweet innocent girl in season one all the way to the complete bad butt we saw at the end of season five was truly magical. that was amazing and you did such a wonderful job! that is all i will say about that and i wouldn't dare recommend it for a show. i'm sure you've seen enough of it from all sides haha. i have to say, i'm not the best at suggesting television shows to watch because half the time i don't even know what i want to watch. if it's not Bluey or Peppa Pig i'm kind of at a loss for things to watch these days. buuuuut, if you wanna watch something you can definitely watch Project Runway. i know there is a few really cool hosts, one of them being me. but you might not like it too much if you're not into fashion much.

how many people start a conversation with you curious to know about your time on Stranger Things? with how much of a cultural juggernaut that show was, i can imagine it being a lot. everyone wants a little peace and Nancy was a fan favorite. my oldest son is 11 now and he keeps begging me to let him watch it. apparently everyone at his school has already seen it and i'm being too strict when he's not allowed to. he thinks 11 is old enough but i'm not sure i agree. however, maybe if he heard from you that he should wait to watch, that would go over much better. you're cool in his eyes, i'm decidedly not. / @nddyer

A lot of people, but I don't mind because I love talking about my time on Stranger Things, it brought so much joy into my life and gave me amazing friends, plus it gave me an amazing relationship that I had for a long time too. I'll just say that I can't believe you have an 11-year-old, you don't look old enough to have an 11-year-old. But I will also say that I don't believe he's old enough to watch it either, and if you want me to tell him that he should wait, I very much will. Especially if he thinks I'm cool. But isn't it natural for most kids to think their parents are uncool? I remember being his age and thinking mine were the uncoolest.

I'm not really sure, I'm leaning more toward taking some time to relax. I don't have fifty projects lined up, I love your faith in me and thinking that many people want me, though. But I think right now a break is good, and then I'll go from there.
