"Soon they'll tell us to not make noise cause the tourists are sleeping
They told us not to go on vacation during July and August so the tourists wouldn't be bothered
They told the residents of Santorini to not circulate in the streets and bother the tourists
They ask the residents of the islands to not use a lot of water so the tourists can have
Soon they'll tell us to not make noise cause the tourists are sleeping"
I am a resident of an island. For weeks during the afternoon the water would stop, my mom who works 12 hours a day would come home tired and couldn't have a shower, apparently they were filling up the pools.
My island is big enough, I've been to a smaller island which has a water problem and they had signs inside the hotel "do not use a lot of water, we have a problem". Now this advice only goes to locals? And the problem now exists in inlands that didn't have this kind of problem before?
According to the comments of the original post, they've already been telling people to not make noise cause the tourists are bothered
A comment wrote "Soon they'll tell us to move out of our houses so the tourists can come" which, already has been happening.
Rented houses becoming Airbnb or really fucking expensive
Doctors, teachers and students are getting kicked out of their homes so tourists can go in
We don't have doctors. People are dying.
We need to send sick persons to Athens or bigger islands with a helicopter
Some years ago, a lady died in the back of a truck. The ambulance was in a different place of the island attending some tourists. They put the woman in a truck, a dentist who was nearby tried to help with any medical knowledge he had, they put her in the truck and a police car made way in front of them while they ran to the hospital. They didn't make it in time
Tourists with the rental cars are all over the street going as slow as possible while a mother has to run behind them in traffic to get her kid in different kind of classes
Donât you love it when Greeks are presented as both the laziest and the most hard working of Europe
I just remember how much we had been abused as a nation by international media during the years of the crisis and now that the media are finally saying something right, I canât be happy about it because their hypocrisy makes me mad.
You're not immune to being the bully btw. You're not immune to being in the wrong
"But i'm-" there is no identity or state of being that makes you immune to hurting someone. You can be convinced that you are in the right for doing so. You can be convinced that you're defending someone by doing so. You have always got to examine if you're taking pleasure in hurting someone or if you're actually doing something good.

Details of the so called evacuation plan
All eyes on Rafah
Young Greeks sing outside the police station where another femicide took place.
I was too angry with this whole situation to comment more on the post, so thank you for the tags.
Today 4 laws were established against domestic abuse in Greece. Which is better than many countries have but it's still not good that people have to be fucking violently murdered in this country so we have a slight chance to see change for the better.
And then you have the ABYSMAL MALAKES who haven't felt fear due to their biology or presentation a day in their lives, refusing to empathise and educate themselves about the millennia-old history of women being murdered by their partners.
Iâm just so fucking pissed off man if they can surgically airstrike international volunteer food workers three consecutive times to ensure their operation is wiped out completely what the fuck is left for anyone to say
kill one group of aid workers with explicit intent so that all other potential or currently operating aid organizations pull out of the region to ensure gaza starves with no one willing to risk helping her people. deep sickness
[ID: Tweet by The Associated Press (@AP) reading "Cyprus says aid ships have turned back from Gaza with some 240 tons of undelivered aid after strike" with a link to a news article. Bel Trew (@Beltrew) QRTed the post and added "This is the devastating impact of Israel's attack - not only because WCK has had to suspended all their operations, not only because a shipload of aid is turning back, but because other aid agencies will have to do the same. Civilians are starving and more will starve in Gaza". End ID]

An Israeli airstrike killed seven aid workers from World Central Kitchen who were trying to ease the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

On this year women's day, all we could think about are Palestinian women in Gaza.
Nearly 9,000 women have been killed in Israeli attacks in five months. Another 2,100 are missing and presumed dead, while 23,000 have been wounded and over half a million are displaced.
âPalestinian women, especially in the Gaza Strip, are exposed to the worst humanitarian catastrophe,â Ashraf al-Qudra, the health ministryâs spokesperson, said on Thursday.
Dozens of women and girls have also been detained and face harsh conditions in Israeli custody, including sexual abuse.
Women in Gaza also struggle to find menstruation products and access the necessary pregnancy and post-natal care. The consequences on reproductive health, including a rise in stress-induced miscarriages, stillbirths and premature births, have increased significantly.
Women in labour are undergoing caesarean procedures without anaesthetics, and a shortage of post-operative care such as medication, antibiotics and pain relief further exacerbates the situation.
According to the health ministry, 5,000 women give birth monthly in Gaza under âharsh, unsafe and unhealthyâ conditions caused by Israeli bombing and displacement.
There are 60,000 pregnant women in Gaza suffering from âmalnutrition, dehydration and lack of medical care.
There have also been repeated cases of Israeli soldiers mocking Palestinian women by posting videos and pictures of themselves rummaging through personal belongings in Gaza homes, making derogatory comments and posing with womenâs underwear.
Over 100 killed and 750 wounded after Israeli forces fired at Palestinians collecting food aid in Gaza City.
More than 100 Palestinians have been killed and some 700 others wounded after Israeli troops opened fire on hundreds waiting for food aid southwest of Gaza City, health officials say, as the besieged enclave faces an unprecedented hunger crisis. The Gaza Ministry of Health said on Thursday that at least 104 people were killed and more than 750 wounded, with the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemning what it said was a cold-blooded âmassacreâ. [...] People had congregated at al-Rashid Street, where aid trucks carrying flour were believed to be on the way. Al Jazeera verified footage showing the bodies of dozens of killed and wounded Palestinians being carried onto trucks as no ambulances could reach the area. âWe went to get flour. The Israeli army shot at us. There are many martyrs on the ground and until this moment we are withdrawing them. There is no first aid,â said one witness. Reporting from the scene, Al Jazeeraâs Ismail al-Ghoul said that after opening fire, Israeli tanks advanced and ran over many of the dead and injured bodies. âIt is a massacre, on top of the starvation threatening citizens in Gaza,â he said. The dead and wounded had been taken to four medical centres: al-Shifa, Kamal Adwan, Ahli and the Jordanian hospitals. Ambulances could not reach the area as the roads had been âtotally destroyedâ, said al-Ghoul. âThe numbers will rise. Hospitals are no longer able to accommodate the huge number of patients because they lack fuel, let alone medicine. Hospitals have also run out of blood.â Reporting from occupied East Jerusalem, Al Jazeeraâs Bernard Smith said the Israeli military âinitially tried to pin the blame on the crowdâ saying that dozens were hurt as a consequence of being crushed and trampled when aid trucks arrived. âAnd then, after some pushing the Israelis went on to say that their troops felt threatened, that hundreds of troops approached their troops in a way they posed a threat to them so they responded by opening fire,â Smith added.
. . . continues at Al Jazeera (29 Feb 2024)
At least 104 Palestinians waiting for food aid killed and 760 wounded after being shot at by Israeli forces in Gaza.
The crowd went to the aid trucks, which were carrying flour, crowd of starved people finally getting food. According to IOF âthe crowd then went to the army personal threateninglyâ to which they opened fire.
IOF then said people were âtrampledâ trying to get aid.
This is pure evil. NOTHING can be redeemed from this, nothing/nobody can say anything to even cast a minuscule good light on Irahellâs actions.
And Iâm sure the Western countries will either say a few nice words about condemning the attack, but no substantial action.
How can anyone continue on knowing this is what Israhell is doing and facing NO repercussions!!!

The Greek government is trying to cover up the deadly railroad tragedy at Tempi that happened exactly 1 (one) year ago, killing over 57 innocent people. Help bring the people responsible to justice by signing this petition
ΤΥÎÎΊÎÎÎ -ΤÎÎÎ Î 2023
To learn more about what happenedâ
i use this blog for fandom purposes only, but i canât not post about this today.
you probably havenât heard, but one year ago (28/2/2023), in Tempi (Greece), happened the worst train crash in the countryâs history. the train was full of university students returning to their homes to celebrate a national holiday with their families.
57 of these people never got to their destination. 57 innocent people lost their lives because two trains were in the same train track, and nobody noticed. in greece, in 2023.
some of the people who were presumed dead were never even found. some people were identified through body parts. and guess what? no one has paid yet. not even the minister of transport, who signed a resignation after the crash, but still got added into the parliament during the may 2023 elections.
the same person who, one month before the crash, was biting peopleâs heads off because they âdared to question the safety of the train tracksâ after some workers filed a complaint about the unsafe conditions of the train controls.
everyone who travelled by train in greece is alive BY LUCK. because the fucking comms were not working. it wasnât just a temporary issue, they had not been working for YEARS. and let me remind you, the government did nothing to prevent this from happening . how are we, greek citizens, supposed to feel safe in this country when weâre alive by luck??
and no one is talking about this. please raise awareness. the people who lost their lives need JUSTICE.
this is murder and not an âaccidentâ
rest in peace to the 57 souls who went so unfairly. we will never forget.
