Odd question: what is your typical canvas dimension range and ppi? i never know how big i should make my canvases and what resolution i should be using.

ty!! i love answering any and all questions!! my default portrait canvas for stuff i post online is 3240x4050px at 300ppi—sometimes dimensions vary based on the artwork, but for illustration i like to keep the shortest side of the canvas at least 3000px. I used to default 400ppi but then i ran into problems uploading on printing or portfolio sites so now i keep it between 250-350 and havent had any problems with it!

tho if ur interested in printing ur own artwork, i recommend determining the size u wanna print before starting and setting that as the canvas size or doubling the dimensions. my go to print size is usually 11x14in (3850x4900px) at 350ppi
