Remember your relationship #dealbreakers, and act. The more you delay the more difficult it’ll be. Know where to draw the line: Controllers/abusers/manipulators never change. Their flawed attitude is already deep rooted. They live in a world of “Yes” where there’s no place for someone else’s “No”. They don’t recognize, respect or acknowledge the concept of boundaries; don’t extend the benefit of doubt to someone who is not trustworthy. I get it, you don’t want to lose the person: Psychologically, you’re attached to him/her. That’s why it’s hard to uphold your boundaries (the things you always said you wouldn’t accept). That’s why it’s hard for you to see the damage s/he’s already causing. Now, you know why it’s hard. But here’s why it’ll be harder: because you keep giving #secondchances (the benefit of the doubt). 👉🏻You need to #putyourselffirst without feeling selfish or guilty. 👉🏻Don’t allow yourself to be constantly criticized/infected with toxic emotional treatment that damages you. 👉🏻Address it, try to resolve it, but if it can’t be resolved don’t keep exposing yourself to it. 👉🏻Don’t allow someone derail you from your path of growth or your #relationship with God. 👉🏻Understand that there are toxic people in this world who don’t realize how #toxic and manipulative they are. And that it is totally up to you to protect yourself from them. 👉🏻Don’t let anyone guilt trip you, blame you or shame you for asserting your #values and #boundaries.
