Light In Umbra

I work at Kroger and when they hired me I had the front section of my hair dyed fire engine red. So from June-August I went from red->orange/pink->purple->blue/turquoise->green. Around August one of my managers comes up to me Manager: you have to change your hair back to a normal color……we’re just going for a more professional look Me: um that’s a bit odd there’s nothing in the hand book about hair color Manager: well I’m telling you to change it. Me: (sarcastically) yea sure I’ll get on it. So a week or two goes by and we have a new cashier (E) who’s obviously wearing a wig and I asked her about it and management wanted her to change her hair (split down the middle two different colors) so she started wearing a cosplay wig she had at home. We swap stories about how management won’t let the hair thing go. Few days after that convo E calls corporate and tells them about the situation. Corporate comes in and tells management that they hired us with colored hair and they can’t make us change it. SO out of spite I dyed my entire head blue and whenever I get compliments on my hair and that manger is around I just give her the world’s biggest shit eating grin.
