i expect alot from me in 2023.

I will have plenty of decisions to make in 2023 that will definitely impact how my life looks in the next 5 or 10 years.

you don’t need an excuse for being good to yourself, you can be good to yourself just because. even if everything went wrong, even if you feel like you haven’t achieved anything in a while, even if you’ve been unproductive and tired, you’re still allowed to treat and take care of yourself.

Accept that you still feel upset about how you were treated, and allow that feeling to pass through you. You don't have to pretend it's not there. You don't have to pretend to forgive the other person if you don't feel so. You can still feel hurt even if years have passed. It's valid, especially if you swept your feelings under the rug back in the days. Find your way to accept the pain, grieve, and let it be in the past where it belongs. Free yourself from these chains. From your fears. From what has been. Life changes. It brings you lessons, but also rewards (and often both are in the form of very different people). Be open to the latter now.

Don’t hold the younger you to the standards you hold yourself to today. You didn’t know as much. You were in a different headspace, with different things affecting and scaring you, facing challenges that seemed big at the time. Maybe you were even lonelier. What’s important is that you know better now, and you know more now. That’s something to move forward with, not something to curse the past with.
