Ripping the Band-Aid. After a long time of deliberation while on this hiatus, I've decided to drop from LGC entirely and have no intent to return. I have my reasons, but don't find them necessary to go into in this post.
As for my characters. Seojin will be getting married to his long time girlfriend and will be a producer, Hyunsoo moved to a different company, and Kiyong is Seunghyun's full-time boyfriend and marine animal activist. That's about it. See ya. ✌
Oh, and thank you to all the lovely people I met and got closer to in my time back here. In the end, it was worth it because I got to meet and talk to you. I really mean it and I always will. Don't be shy, feel free to chat with me any time. Love you.

yeonwoo hums in amusement at the mental image seojin paints, picturing the other members floundering in the shallow waters, trying ( and likely failing ) to catch fish with their bare hands. it’s an entertaining thought — one that has him grinning — but it’s the mention of a camping trip that really catches his interest. he tilts his head, considering it for a moment before nodding.
“that actually sounds fun,” he muses, stretching his arms over his head before relaxing back into the couch. “it’s been forever since i’ve gone camping for fun. i don’t think the kids would last a night without complaining though. they’d probably whine about the bugs and how there’s no wi-fi.” his voice holds a fondness despite the teasing and he knows seojin hears it too. “but if it means spending a whole day with pumpkin and gamja, i’m in. as long as you do most of the heavy lifting, of course.”
the thought of taking a break from the chaos of their schedules, of just being out in nature with seojin and the others, is a tempting one. it reminds him of simpler times; before the packed itineraries, before the exhaustion that comes with being an idol really set in. “we should seriously bring it up to the managers. if we call it a team bonding activity, they might actually let us go.” he smirks, nudging seojin’s knee lightly with his own.
the camera’s presence lingers at the back of his mind but in this moment, it doesn’t seem as suffocating as it did earlier. maybe it’s because seojin is here, effortlessly making everything feel easy. yeonwoo turns to glance at his best friend, noting the way he already looks deep in thought about their little plan. he chuckles, shaking his head. “you’re already planning the whole trip in your head, aren’t you?”
"Well, we'd have to start with glamping first. The stuff with all the amenities, Wi-Fi, tins of supplies. That's how you lull them into a false sense of security, y'know? Then... *BAM!*" he claps his hands together with enthusiasm. "you suddenly spring on a forest camping trip and throw them into the wilderness." The more he ponders upon the idea, the further that mischievous grin of his crawls up his face — the sort that tells all of his perfectly chaotic plan.
Yeonwoo was always so spot on about him. It amazed him, really, how someone could manage to become so close to him that they knew each and every one of his tells. It was only natural now that the two began living together and even sleeping in the same room for the past year.
He found it refreshing, yet uncomfortable being so vulnerable with another person. Yeonwoo always reassured him, however, with those kind smiles and understanding glances. Seojin finds himself at odds — conflicted by the need to conceal and the need to be truly known. He enjoyed being reduced to his most base form when he was around him. It is evident in the way he allows his emotions to run free. Smiles, worries, tears — all of it.
Only Yeonwoo could make Seojin sit in attentive silence. He waits until he's finished speaking to chime back in.
"There's a lot of things on my mind that I really wanna do. Especially with you. It's like... a total mess up here," he knocks against his head with his knuckles. "What do you think about doing a cover together? As soon as possible, honestly... I also wanna go on shows with you, trips with you. The whole shebang."
It has been quite some time by now that Seojin became more comfortable with the concept of having a studio of his own. ( Instead of hogging time in the one of his other group members who had access before him. ) Nowadays, he spent as much time holed up inside it as he did in the practice room and, eventually, more than his own dorm. It certainly was of no help that he insisted on there being a comfortable couch against the wall — large enough to support him for all his dozing needs when the time called for it. Oh, and a mini fridge.
Sooner or later, the overtly social being that Seojin happened to be, extended the occasional invitation to some of his friends to lounge with him in the studio while he worked on some project or recorded something completely random and irrelevant. Having his alone time was rather sacred, but there was something to having company to look to when the atmosphere became a bit too quiet without the music filling the room.
"You're really lucky I decided to let you in here, y'know," the heel of his foot digs into the plush carpeting underneath him, serving as an anchor for his idly spinning back and forth on the desk chair that was far too comfortable. The tone his voice takes is a teasing sort — the kind he uses on his actual younger brother that he trainee shouldn't be unfamiliar with by now.
Dongha wasn't exactly too different from himself, anyway, he knew he would be able to take a little bit of banter, out of anyone.
Seojin stretches his arms above his head and exhales a rather loud yawn. "Shit—" he rubs at his eyes and turns toward his computer for a moment, rotating back to Dongha as if he had a second thought. Admittedly, he did not quite remember what he was going to say the first time. "So, how's all the training stuff going? Is it still pretty boring?"
"Born with it?" Minseo echoes back, staring at Coco with adoration glinting in her eyes. She sticks the small bag of treats into the pocket of her jacket, pulling on the zipper to securely keep it away from the precious models. "You definitely have the It factor, Coco." She praises the Bichon, adjusting the the twilly tied in a neat bow around the dog's color. "I think Pumpkin could be a model too. Isn't he really charming and looks like a loaf? It would be hard to manage his career with yours though..." Her voice trails off, pondering a life for a dog that wasn't hers. "Maybe, he can make his debut one day!"
Her attention shifts to the Shiba whose temperament seemed full of sass and strikingly aware of his surroundings. Did Coco have competition? Wait, was the pet modeling world as cutthroat in comparison? She doesn't utter the question to Seojin, not wanting to insinuate a potential contentious topic around the pets' parents. "Ah, that's a cute idea. Should we try to line them up before the photographer returns?" She rises to her feet, dusting off the knees from her jeans.
"Here, Coco!" She dangles another treat above the Bichon's face, handing the rest of the pack to Seojin in case bribing was necessary. She leads the seasoned model to her mark, standing near a kid-sized pool with plastic balls in a variety of different pastel colors. Wardrobe steps in to hand her different accessories, which she opts for a pair of mini sunglasses. Her model doesn't make a fuzz, barking when she places the sunglasses on the dog's face. "I'm going to melt..."
There is something about Minseo that puts Seojin in this odd sort of ease that he cannot exactly put his finger on. Perhaps she could disarm the most vicious of beasts if she truly put her mind to it. What sort would want to appeal unruly and unkempt in front of someone with such bright stars in their eyes? It is all undeniably endearing, really. He nearly looks at her the same way he does at his youngest sister, Dasom. ( In fact, they do not seem too dissimilar, do they? )
"Well, we are with the agency still, so we can put forward our ideas, at least, right?" he unfolds his arms and silently follows after the other idol to the kiddie pool brimming with various accessories. When Minseo places the sunglasses on the perky bichon dog, Seojin does not even think to stifle his amused laughter. He reaches in and searches for two pairs of his own — one in a quirky neon green for the shiba, and a pair of aviators for the golden retriever. "I think that you might be a genius, Minseo. Wouldn't it be really funny if we put them all in sunglasses and had them pose like we were saying? They would look like a cool puppy gang. Kinda like those paintings of dogs doing poker and stuff like that."
He may be rambling at this point, but feels that they have come to a decent enough exchange of ideas. His energy levels still remain at their lower point, as well — something that is bound to change as the day drags on and they're permitted more free time to play around with their new friends. The last thing Seojin wanted to do was produce an uninteresting piece of content for the viewers.

SOLO LIVESTREAM / seojin's music stream
⸻ ( SEN'S PLAYLIST )
By now, it is not Seojin's first time doing a livestream by himself — not that he necessarily needed any buffers to warm up for it alone. He feels rather comfortable sitting in front of the camera, leading the conversation, in fact. Albeit, the chat window becomes a bit too fast for his liking ( and hinders his ability to stay one-hundred percent on topic ). His mind jumps all around his skull as he looks through the list he set up beforehand, idly scrubbing fingers through his hair. He decides on the backdrop being his side of the room that he shared with Yeonwoo. More specifically, in front of the wall smattered with band posters and his growing guitar collection.
Across the room sat his manager — a recurring guest of his, at this point. He looks up from the tablet in front of him and smiles at the older man sitting in the comfortable pseudo-beanbag chair taken from the corner. Though, Seojin wonders if he will have to help him out of it when the broadcast ends and snorts to himself imagining the scene.
"Alright. Is everyone coming in and getting settled?" he leans in closer to the camera to take a peep at the chat, watching all the people enter and the words begin to fly by. He was not sure how many people would willingly click into a stream of him ceaselessly droning on about music, but he could only assume that some of them are only there to look at his face.
"I'll just get right into it. We're gonna talk about music today—... and listen to it, too! Don't worry. I came prepared," he lifts up his portable speaker and flaunts it toward the camera. Part of him did wish that he could do another guitar and singing stream for them, but perhaps he would ask about that later. "I'm just gonna preface this: I dunno if all of you will like my music taste, but... as you guys know, I'm really into rock music and stuff. 'Course, I like other genres, too! But... Rock is where I fell in love with music and discovered that I really liked singing, so, we're gonna start there. I'm gonna start playing some of my playlist for you guys. It's got all kinda stuff on it. Metal, emo, punk, grunge, and even indie stuff and more mainstream."
Seojin scrolls through his playlist and clicks on the first song he chose to start things out. "Shadow on the Sun by Audioslave. You know... I like songs more now that I can really understand and relate to the lyrics, but when I was younger, I really could still feel things through his voice, alone. I hope that's the case for the foreign fans of V&A, too. it's definitely way easier to get translations these days, though."
While the song plays, he leans toward the chat again, curious of the response already. Although, he pauses to jam out to the last minute of the song, exclaiming how it's the best part.
'Wah, I actually really like rock music, too! My dad was really into groups like Led Zeppelin and Metallica and got me into it, and I've liked it ever since but I really like Versus, too, of course~ What was your first album you got?'
"First album... Actually, I think it was The Black Parade? My Chemical Romance. I was in middle school and saved up to buy it. I felt like I really liked that vibe back then and I still listen to it. Oh, also Hybrid Theory. I started to get pretty into nu metal. Speaking of, it seems like A Place for My Head is playing right now. The riff is so sick..."
He plays a couple more songs, Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden and Plug in Baby by Muse, and gushes about them before he returns to look at the chat to interact with the fans. His eyes glance over a comment in English.
'Not many people will like rock music but I think that it's pretty cool when idols are authentic and honest about the stuff they like, and it's not every day that a member of a k-pop group is into metal and stuff. I'm glad to see the God of Metal title is totally real!'
"That's right," he answers back in English, translating part of it into Korean as well for the other viewers. "I think now that metal is mentioned, I should play more of it, right? As you guys know by now, I was in a metal band when I was in high school. Kind of crazy, thinking about it now... I had a lot of fun. I think it's pretty much like a free vibe, and I was able to get out a lot of the negative feelings I had through music. Like, a healthy way to manage all of that stuff that builds up when things really aren't the best? It's like... listening to the music, you finally feel understood."
In the chat, there are several who place a message of agreement to his words. The idea of being able to so freely discuss something he had such an unabashed affection for makes him crack the slightest of smiles. "I hope you guys are liking the music so far?" His eyes look away for the first time since the live started toward his manager. "I hope that manager hyung likes it, too. Sometimes, I worry a bit, these days. Usually, I'm pretty unabashed, but preparing for this, I was concerned that I would be, like, holding you guys hostage or something."
He wears another lopsided smile and the next song plays. "Oh, you should know this one, right? Internet War by Seotaiji. Really, I think the guy was so cool for what he did with this part of his career. Also, I really look up him and guys like Yoon Dohyun, Ha Hyunwoo and, of course, Kim Kyungho... These days, I think... rock really has a chance in South Korea if we push a little more."
'You mentioned that you were in a band before. Could you tell us about the artists that inspired you at the time? Did you do mostly covers or was it original songs? Also, are you ever planning on covering any of the rock songs you like in the future? I'd really love to see!'
"Mmh, right. It was a lot of groups. Some I already played, but it was all of us with other bands we liked and coming together to make music. Seotaiji, Linkin Park, Girugamesh and Deftones... That sorta vibe. Honestly, sometimes I get jealous of groups like Xdinary Heroes. I really like those guys lately. They have a lot of potential, in my opinion!" He glances down when the next song plays, nodding his head along. "Anyways, I will definitely cover stuff when I get the chance to. I'm.. actually not sure if they would let me cover stuff with fry screams? It's been a while since I've done that technique, anyways, so I dunno if it would even sound good. I thought about making Yushin cover Bring Me To Life with me. Wouldn't that be funny?"
"We're getting to the more intense stuff of the playlist now... Are you ready to headbang?" And he does just that when the decidedly heavy song called Soft Spine by Spiritbox plays, and then to Manic by Wage War. He has to wonder if he must look insane and if his fans would leave in droves, but he is hardly one to care. When it ends, he emerges, breath heavy and his hand holding his head. "Okay... I'm out of practice, I think. I feel a little bit dizzy."
For the final fifteen minutes of the live, the playlist shifts to the more melodic portion of his prepared songs. He sings a bit along to Sleep by My Chemical Romance, Sakura by BUCK-TICK ( even if his Japanese could still use some work ), and Jigsaw Falling Into Place by Radiohead. By the time the songs finish, he feels like he is in a daze, and leans back with his arms stretched above his head.
"Guys, I spaced out a bit. I think I almost forgot that we were all listening to it together, but... isn't that a sign of a good place to lose yourself to? If it's music? Ah, right. I was going to play us out to this song and then, say a closing bit," he pauses to comb to another playlist and turns the volume down a bit to talk over it. The song in question is none other than V&A's Rock With You. "Thank you, everyone, for coming and for those of you who stayed until the end. I liked talking about music with you guys. Maybe if I can to another live, we can explore other music. These days, I'm exploring all kinds of genres and opening my heart to more new things. Hopefully, I get to show you more sides of myself in the coming days. So, please look forward to that. I'll post my playlist later to you guys. Bye~"
Her decision to not continue shooting her previous variety show was to try out something new. She had been left on the dark about the type of work her and her partner would be requested to do, but she figured it was low stakes and out of the way tasks to not disturb with the important task on hand. Upon starting their shooting day for the new variety show, she finds it ironic that she traded kittens for dogs, but in retrospect, tending to the furry models was at least entertaining to her. If she had to help out with actual models, she would feel like she was intruding during their down time and despite not being able to communicate with their furry models, the three dogs perked up with dog treats.
"Oh, you're right!" Her expression brightens when Seojin makes the connection, smile lingering on her face when she accepts the leash from the director who instantly agrees with Seojin's plan. "They could be cousins." She crouches down to introduce herself to the white fluff, allowing for the dog to sniff at her hand. "Hello, you cutie~" She greets in a singsong-y voice, touching the pink bow on the dog's collar. "I'm Minseo, your butler for the day. Please be kind and patient with me..."
"What qualities do you think are necessary for a dog to be a good model?" She asks Seojin, curiously offering her hand to the dog named Coco. Her pup offers the paw eliciting a soft a squeal of delight from the girl. "A high-five? We're going to be great friends by the end of this. Do you know how to dance, Coco?" She reaches for the dog treats left unattended, using one of the bone shaped cookies to dangle it over Coco's head to get her on her hind legs. "Look!"
The more frequently the two of them interacted, the more Seojin thought of Minseo as something of a genuine younger sister figure. Not only did he view her fondly as a singing mentee, but, as time drew on, he felt the need to protect her increasing by the day. She now plays a role in his life that extends beyond the girl who his younger brother stole a jacket from in high school. ( Although, he did not know the true extent of Chanhyeok's shenanigans. )
He keeps his standing posture as Minseo puts herself eye-level with the dog. She seems to take quite the liking her her right away — fitting, given the bijon looked like she might as well have been brought by Minseo in the first place. He even offers her a gentle round of applause when she manages to make the dog do a little trick or two. Color him impressed.
"I dunno. I think that every dog has the whole 'being cute' thing down, for starters... and they'd probably need to have a lot of training to stay still. It requires so much patience to be able to get a calm demeanor out of a dog... And, sometimes, they've kinda gotta be born with it. Sometimes, I swear if Pumpkin didn't have the personality he does, I would never be able to put those dumb little hats on him."
Seojin averts his eyes and clears his throat when the golden retriever nudges against his hand for attention. Like Minseo, he immediately lowers into a squat and offers his hand for a shake.
"How should we pose them? It would be cute if the shiba was in the middle. Like... in order of size."
It's not unusual to find Taeha bouncing through the halls, nose buried in something. Usually, it's a little pink notebook filled with daily tasks, doodles, and frantic notes scribbled in after evaluations. On other days, she's clutching an overstuffed binder and plotting her next 'mission' - which in Taeha speak means another overly ambitious attempt at pairing off clueless staff members ( a matchmaker never rests! ). And then there are the days when she's glued to her phone, scrolling through the comments of Legacy's social media accounts. Sure, some comment sections can get… iffy, but Taeha has gotten much better at focusing on the positivity ( ...sort of ).
But today she's not obsessing over fan comments one bit. Today, her focus is entirely on her own texts, a giddy grin stretching across her face as she waits for another ping! She feels a bit silly, waiting so patiently for yet another reply, but how could she not? Especially when she gets a tiny little rush of excitement every time her phone buzzes -
"Huh -?!" Taeha yelps, nearly launching her phone into the air as the older male's voice startles her out of her thoughts. She spins on her heels, hiding her phone behind her back. "H-Hi hi hi, Seojin!" she stammers, a nervous chuckle bubbling up as her cheeks flush. Wait, nervous? Why was she nervous?! She wasn't doing anything suspicious! ( ...Or, was she? )
"Funny seeing you here! Aren't you super busy with, uh, rehearsalpromotionsschedulesor - ?" she blurts in a single breath. Before he can answer, she breaks into another round of awkward rambling. "Me? Having fun? Nonono, I'm not - well, I mean, training's fun! So fun! Not that I was saying it's not fun, but -"
One would think Seojin has gotten more accustomed to the nature of the 'little sister' as an entity, given that he has spent a number of years with two of his own. Both are a generation away from Taeha, though, and she is every bit of a grown woman with her own freedom to do as she pleases. However, Seojin had a duty as a member of the league of older brothers to fulfill Taekhyung's oh-so-humble request to monitor her behavior.
He feigns peering over her shoulder to take a glimpse at her phone. Unfortunately ( fortunately for Taeha ), her reflexes are quicker than anticipated. Not that he was typically one to snoop, but a job was a job, after all, and he was here to find out what the young woman was doing instead of diligently attending her classes.
"Hang on—" he lifts his hand, cutting off her incoherent and long-winded response. He swears she started speaking gibberish somewhere in that string of words. "Breathe, Taeha! You're going a mile a minute there. I was just curious as to what you've been up to, is all, now that I have a little break between schedules. Haven't really seen you around too much these days..."
Seojin's mind clicks slowly as he looks for an in, eyes traveling over the sharp angles of the hallway ceiling that hangs above them. "Oh, I think I know why!" he snaps his fingers and points at her, making sure to keep his tone light — for now. "You must be waaay too caught up in school stuff to really hang around the company these days, right? I mean, I totally get it. Sorta! Wouldn't wanna be slacking off considering how difficult those final exams can be..."
He trails off, keeping his attention on her with a coy side-eye.
"....that's funny," yushin laughs, because it is true. the walls are so thin and he can only imagine what it is like, especially during the peak hours at night when the alcohol could get heavy in consumption. "alright, alright - i definitely won't mind trying some of the coveted versus songs that i could wish were v&a's songs," knowing that versus and agito had vastly different music. "and some vague dance moves that i recall," from when he playfully tried some of the moves for fun in the practice room. "is this the...... 'ballet duet' you were thinking of?" because if nothing else, ma boy was definitely not that. he can hardly believe the age of this song, and it makes him feel freakin' old. the mic is in his hand before he can think, and his mouth is automatically beginning with the beginning lines, "we got ya backkk, got ya backkk, oh god why is that spouting out automatically," as if it were yesteryear and when the song couldn't get out of his mind. the circling finger movement too, which makes him laugh, but he's not about to do the chair moves. kudos to seojin if he tries," as the two of them go through the verses, its leading up to the chorus. "body wave!"
yushin holds out the microphone and tries his best to replicate the move but even with his dance improvement, he's not sure how that comes across, especially since he's simultaneously laughing. there's not that many people he would act like this around, so its great to feel completely safe in this coccoon of a room.
"i wonder if all the baby trainees would even know this song," he says after the song is in the end with the music playing. "one of them asked me if 2ne1 was a new group," yushin wipes a false tear from his eye, before selecting another song. "is it finally time to... cream soda?"
If there was anything Lee Yushin could do, it was bring the inner mischievous child out of Seojin. There are a number of memories the two of them created together long before they even thought to become trainees. Back then, Seojin was a no-good wannabe rockstar with a bad attitude, and Yushin had his own dreams that involved musicals and something Seojin turned his nose up at. The first time both of them set foot into this very place without the aim to throw fists, he quickly learned just how alike they were deep down. Their shared love of music and shenanigans the one that stood out the most to him.
Even now, he knew he could be unabashedly himself about the other man. He thought the same could be the same said for Yushin. It is a side he thinks he is special enough to see on such a regular basis — blessed, even. He sits on the cushioned couch with a large grin, watching while his friend attempts to do some of the iconic dance. It does nothing more than cause Seojin to burst into a fit of loud laughing. So much so that he can hardly stand to do the body wave with him, and instead tumbles onto him with his arms around his shoulders as they complete the song. Perhaps one may have thought the both of them drunk if they were to see how they acted, but the bottle of apple juice on the table is a clear indication that they are as sober as any.
"Who knows. To be honest… I didn't know a lot of it until I became a trainee. It's like I was sat down and they injected it all into my veins the second I sat down," he huffs out a sigh and hums to himself. "Should we Cream Soda now? Do you know all the parts and the lyrics? This is a test, you know…"

yeonwoo steps into the room moments after seojin, his usual kind smile tugging at the corners of his lips. there’s a flicker of amusement in his eyes when seojin attempts to block his seat, though it’s quickly abandoned. that was just like seojin, a playful tease one second and suddenly thoughtful the next. it’s something yeonwoo had grown used to over the years, a rhythm he could predict without even thinking about it anymore. quietly, he sinks into the cushion beside his best friend, settling into the kind of calm comfort that seojin seemed to bring out in him.
“you’ve been on a food tangent lately,” yeonwoo says, his tone light and teasing. “you know i’m in, but you’ll have to handle most of the cooking. you’re the better chef between the two of us.” his grin widens slightly, a faint dimple appearing on one side of his cheek. yeonwoo considers himself a good cook, but ever since the other joined the group he's been happily letting his friend take over the kitchen.
there’s a brief pause as he glances at the camera, a subtle reminder of its presence that he’d almost forgotten about. he decides that, for once, he isn’t about to let his usual uneasiness show. instead, he nudges the other man’s shoulder lightly with his own, a silent reassurance that they’d get through this together, like always.
“you know, it’s funny,” yeonwoo continues after a moment, his voice softer now. “i've been thinking about that seafood we ate when we went to the beach once. think we can try recreating it?” there’s a playful edge to his words, but it’s laced with something genuine, a quiet gratitude for sharing so many good moments with his friend. “or we should just take the kids there?"
When Seojin has the chance to think about it — truly, really think —, the relationship between himself and Yeonwoo seems like something of an unlikely one to those on the outside looking in. They have plenty of things that differ for the both of them. Upbringing, demeanor, certain interests, dispositions. Seojin is still the loud punk who voiced all his opinions aloud whether or not the world desired to hear them, and Yeonwoo was everything a mild-mannered young man with an even temper.
But there was something about that gentle smile of his that had that capability of taming the wild-eyed trainee he was ( and still is ) the moment they crossed paths. They eventually found common ground on more than a few things, and Seojin learned how to handle how dialed back his energy became when in the other's presence. ( Not that it was ever a bad thing. If anything, Yeonwoo's company was every bit of a safe space to let his guard down. )
"Can you blame me? I have to admit… the schedules are something I'm still not used to yet, so I've been having a hard time adjusting to when to squeeze in meal times and when I can cook. It's hard to avoid falling back on take out with how busy we are, y'know? Sometimes I've considered accepting my mom's offer to send us meals every day." He huffs out a laugh and shakes his head, leaning down to grab onto the bottle of water on the table and crack it open to take a long sip. It offers him a moment to let Yeonwoo's words marinate. He breaks into a grin when he mentions 'the kids' — that being, the other members.
"I dunno how we can… unless we make it a family trip retreat thing where we send the kids into the sea to catch their own meals and we do all the cooking…" Seojin trails off and suddenly snaps his fingers, stricken with what he deems a brilliant idea. "Oh! We should totally go on a camping trip one day. We could even bring Pumpkin and Gamja with us."
When Seojin initially signed up to go on the temp agency show, he kept his expectations low. He was under the assumption that he could end up being stuck with something like helping Hyuncheol organize his filing cabinet or running to get a monumental coffee order by the graphic design team. Fortunately, stepping foot in the commercial agency's building has his shoulders drooping with relief. He sets his eyes on a few furry friends happily waiting by their respective owners with impatient smiles on their faces. It takes everything in him not to make a scene and run to the closest one to rile it up and run around the building with it. Instead, he takes a deep breath to calm himself, slowing his steps to match Minseo's.
And speaking of Minseo, he feels like luck truly smiled on him to result in their pairing. Not only does he get to interact with cute dogs, but they are allowing him to do so side by side with his favorite little prodigy. He nudges her gently with his elbow, pointing at the fluffy white dog that resembles more of a nimbus cloud rather than a four legged friend.
"Doesn't that one look kinda like Milo?" he leans in to ask, temporarily distracted by the director shoving a bag of treats into their hands and instructing which dog prefers which. He glances over at the three fuzzy faces enthusiastically sniffing the air. "Should we split the task so they don't all look in one direction? You can take the fluffy one and I'll corral the bigger dogs. Unless you wanna…? Not sure if you're comfortable around big dogs. Golden retrievers usually listen pretty well, though."

"Ah, really?" He grasps his friend's shoulders, gently shaking him with unrestrained excitement for what was awaiting them. "I got the perfect place in mind!" He exclaims, corner of his lips tugging upwards into a warm smile. "It'll be on me too." His statement was cheeky considering his father wouldn't dare charge them for any meals at the restaurant. He knew better than to take advantage of the perk. His invitations were rare and with close friends. However, Seojin was family after all and the staff was waiting for them.
"How are preparations going?" He questions when the two of them get on the bus, heading directly towards the back for the bumpy excitement it brought his younger self. "Or is that top secret? I can't wait to hear the album." He settles on the seat on the far left, realizing the only drawback from the seat was that there was no window next to him. "It finally feels real, right? Or, will it only be real during the press showcase?" He muses, unable to conceptualize how an official debut would feel for himself let along his close friend. "I wish I could cheer you on, but I think I would have to fight an Eterval and the company might pull my ear."
"On you?" Seojin rolls his head back, lips pursed, his eyes slightly rolling. As much as he would like to insist he be the one to pay, he knows full well how stubborn the other man could be — particularly when it came to who paid the bill. He was the younger version of himself for a good reason. "Alright, deal! I promise I won't go too crazy, but… I am feeling pretty hungry today, so." Playfully, he wraps his arm around Noeul's shoulders from behind, jostling him in a similar way the other did to him a minute before. He shoots him a lopsided smile as they settle into their seats, then offers a half-hearted shrug.
"Mmh, yeah. I guess you could say it finally feels real. I'm having a hard time actually… thinking all of this isn't just some vivid dream or something, honestly. I feel like it's gonna take me another comeback to actually realize that I'm a debuted member of a group." He makes sure to keep his voice relatively low — conscious of his volume now that they are amongst the public. Who knew who might be listening now. "The preparations are going weirdly smoothly. The only downside is that I never have been this busy in my entire life and… I feel kinda worn out. Am I just getting old or am I being worked to the bone? You can be honest!"
Another huffed out chuckle and he leans back, glancing out the tinted window behind them. "If you don't at least watch the showcase on your computer, I'll be sad. I've been watching all of your content, you know."
being in a group with seojin was unexpected but a pleasant surprise. sometimes it felt like the divy of members in groups was a random roulette, especially after the year of 2024 with a multitude of changes within v&a. no matter, they're here now. with closer schedules, its even easier to find pockets of time to actually properly spend time together and not only focus on work, work, work. there is something called a work life balance that needs to be respected, even if it doesn't always see the light of day. funny how their tracks get them to their old hangout, the owner probably getting a kick out of it since old habits die hard. yes, we promise we won't have a scuffle. yes, we'll make the payments. yes, we'll stay over time, thanks in advance. kkkk. but its kind of a hole-in-the-wall type joint so they actually get more privacy than if it was elsewhere.
"you think they're tired of us at this location yet?" yushin says, as he reaches out to grab one of the snacks they were given, and taking a sip of the drink. "i think they actually enjoy our presence here, secretly. that's why they keep letting us come back." they didn't have anything lined up in the immediate next few days so they could go a little overboard with the songs. "should we have a theme today? or entirely random shuffle? no strike that, i don't want to sing n'sync." they'd been adding more international songs into the music options. "look, they even have a new binder of songs to pick from. niiiice. i wonder if we're in here?" yushin flips through to try to find V&A, nose crinkling as he went down the list of songs. "dang, i see a nova song in here already. we better be in here!"
There comes a time where Seojin feels he has begun to lose sight of how things used to be. After countless months of days where he would arrive home well past midnight and sleep as soon as he arrived to the dorm, he forgot what it meant to allow himself free time. There are too many days he allowed himself to get lost in practice or working sleepless nights at his studio to produce something that may never ever see the light of day. It was almost enough to make him forget what it meant to live — almost.
Thanks to one Lee Yushin, he is reminded that there was once a space within time that the two of them used to hang out; worry free. Perhaps their fans would find it a surprise that the two men who, eventually, ( coincidentally ) found their way as members of V&A actually spent much of their later high school days and early training together. Seojin would describe it as them being attached at the hip no matter what the other may insist. Finding their way back to the place where they spent much of their youth brings nothing short of a smile to his face.
"Nah, it's a fact that they definitely enjoy us here. It's prolly always a nice change of pace to hear people who can actually sing, yknow?" he responds in jest, swirling the iced tea around in the bottle he holds oddly close to him. "Don't be so stingy. Let's just sing whatever we like to sing, like usual. Honestly, I would really like to hear you take a crack at some Versus songs or something. Maybe we could do a few ballad duets, too. It's been a while since we expressed our love to each other in that way, huh?"
Another tease and Seojin is snickering to himself, reaching forward to prod Yushin in the side before he lunches for the remote and quickly types a number in. The beginning of Ma Boy starts to play and he is already shoving a microphone in his friend's hand.
