Tommy & Evan: We may not know the ending, but the fact it happened is everything!
Like so many of you, I feel such a deep personal connection to their storyline. And honestly, it’s been agonizing that they’re not back together. I know a lot of us are still holding out hope. I am too.
But I’m also starting to accept that we may not see them reunite the way we want.
And here’s what I’ve realized…
Even if their story doesn’t end the way we imagined, it doesn’t take away from how magical and meaningful it was that it happened at all.
For me, their relationship meant something bigger. I felt represented in a way I never have before. Two manly, alpha firemen, strong and heroic, yet non-stereotypical gay men — breaking stereotypes, showing vulnerability, showing love without caricature. I’ve never seen that kind of storyline portrayed with such sincerity in TV or film before.
That matters.
Their story existed. It was real. It was beautiful. And it impacted people — including me.
I even reached out to Lou Ferrigno Jr. on Cameo to thank him for portraying such an impactful and genuine character. I told him how much it meant to see that kind of representation handled with care and authenticity. When he responded, I was honestly blown away. He came across as such a class act — kind, thoughtful, and sincere.
So yes — I still hope they find their way back to each other.
But if they don’t?
I’m choosing to celebrate that they found each other at all. That for a moment, we got to witness something glorious and meaningful. Some stories aren’t defined by whether they last forever — sometimes their power is simply that they existed.
