Bemused After Hours

Mastercard put into effect a new policy regulating adult content sellers that makes it extremely hard for sex workers to earn a living online. It must be stopped.

The policy itself imposes strict and invasive requirements on adult content websites using Mastercard’s financial services – including pre-approval of all content before publication, forbidding certain search terms, and monitoring the age and identity verification process for all performers.

Laws and policies like these – that criminalize and stigmatize sex work – make sex workers more vulnerable to abuse by clients, law enforcement, and others who target and harass sex workers or those perceived as sex workers, particularly trans women of color.

I love laughing when something is meant to be hot and dominant but just comes out a little silly instead.

I love the moments things get hot and heavy and I hear them ask me in a soft voice if what they’re doing is okay.

I love their sighs of relief when I finally put my hands where they need them.

I love every position that pulls me to them. That gives me the moments of tender affection. I love sex with other trans people, I love their bodies. Whether they are far into their transition or have just started.

Mating practices vary widely between species. While most smaller or less armoured mecha prefer to mate in the safety of their caves, larger builds or frames with natural protection (such as poison or electrical currents) often feel safe enough to mate in the open water.

6: Odd-Couples and Egg Laying

Though attempts have been made to discourage mating between merformers which are unable to breed, life always finds a way of surprising us. Many of these couples will make up for failed breeding by simply mating more often, which results in carriers carrying larger amounts of ‘dud eggs’ for the purpose of processing and removing non-compatible genetic material from their bodies.

Sex is not essential. You can live without it. Full stop.

Not having sex isn't shameful or a sign of failure. It also doesn't make anyone boring.

You are not entitled to having sex with anybody and nobody is entitled to having sex with you.

Sex is not what makes someone an adult.

Nobody's worth is defined by how much sex they have or don't have.

Sex is not equally important to everyone.

You can have fulfilling and happy relationships without sex.

You should only have sex on your own terms, not because you feel like you owe it to someone, or because you feel like you'd be incomplete without it.

Know your boundaries around sex and be firm about them. Know how to respect other people's boundaries.

The previous point also applies when it comes to discussing sex. If someone doesn't wanna talk about it or hear about it you have to back down.

 Merformers have widely been known to mate across both species and size class, and are known to successfully crossbreed in even the most unlikely of pairings. One constant, however, is that the sire is almost always the smaller of the two mates.

3: Mating Aggression and Mistaken Identity

Though these advances may seem tempting, it is advised not to engage with a merformer’s advances outside of a controlled scientific environment. Teasing a Merformer in heat can result in accident or injury at best, and full blown abduction or maiming at worst.
