e2 at the Warner Theater in DC for a Graduation for Purdue University. This has been an interesting one to say the least. The show must go on!

What doing a few flips over your handlebars looks like on Strava... Clearly my segment times took as big of a hit as I did. In my spare time I am an avid MTB rider. Apparently today wasn't my best outing. Still got in 20 miles today and 50 on the week!

Took some time off to take my son Seth to Webelos Scout Camp Ross in Goshen, VA. Fun was had, friend's were made and memories created that will last a lifetime!

Providing Vmix rental and operation for another virtual event from the EventEQ HQ. Zooming into Vmix with our fancy "make zoom look good" key!

Working on a pretty simple event this evening in DC for EventEQ. I have one Sony robo camera and one monitor for a virtual board meeting dinner for Intel. The view however, is spectacular!

Working at the EventEQ warehouse as EIC for a MJM show for end client TD Bank. We set up a master control room complete with 8 inbound remote feeds (custom style zoom), many graphics and playback machines and remote lines tied into a studio in NY. We used a Carbonite Black switcher to run the magic. For this show we had a guest director who brought in his own Technical Director who I must say, was a wizard at building boxes and effects on the Carbonite.

My biggest challenge on this one was converting a .mov file into a usable wipe with alpha and audio that could be triggered in the Carbonite to transition between segments. I used Vmix media converter to create an image sequence from the .mov then added a .wav to the sequence maintaining the proper naming scheme. Then loaded it into one of the Carbonite media player channels. Audio needed to wire up a cable to get the AES output to work and boom... Wipe with alpha and an audio "swoosh" could be triggered via macro that the TD built.

Once everything was wired, patched, configured and the bumper transition was loaded, it was time for me to relax and enjoy the Tour de France!

Rented my Vmix Virtual Studio Package to EventEQ for a virtual event. For this show we dressed up a boring zoom meeting with Vmix by keying out the ugly grey background from the Zoom and overlayed it on a custom background. We also added lower thirds. The client wanted to keep it very simple allowing the presenters to give presentations using the screen share feature in Zoom. The keyed solution in Vmix worked great! This allowed remote guests to utilize a platform they were comfortable with and when they turned on their camera, they would magically appear on the screen in a proper multi box look. We streamed this show to the Clover platform and also had a pre roll video and slide loop to make it seem more like a show than a typical zoom meeting.

Served up some Vmix to a new client today! We used the system to stream a panel discussion about the opening of the Medal of Honor Museum to Facebook and Vimeo. Thanks to Apus Media for giving Levine Engineering an opportunity to help support your event!

Graduation season rolls on with TC Williams HS! Only 935 students to film as they take their walk across stage! Ready 1, go 1, ready 2 go 2, ready 3 go 3. Rinse and repeat 935 times! We used a Blackmagic ATEM and added some lower thirds for good measure! Thanks Nomad Event Systems for building the rig inside that back of the truck so I can stay dry during the rain showers!

Sidwell Friends move up and graduation ceremonies. Not the most luxurious of gigs (thanks for shipping that folding table) but we still helped make it special for the kids and families! ATEM with a couple Panasonic broadcast cameras. Mitti playback and ppt presentations all feeding a postage stamp sized LED wall and the world wide web!

Had fun directing cameras for the University of Maryland Symphony at their beautiful Clarice Smith Center for the Performing Arts. 2 Sony HSC 100r's with long glass and a couple Marshall POV cameras strategically placed made the show entertaining for the crowd watching from home via web stream.
