Tares In The Pulpit: The Disciples of Balaam, Gehazi, and Judas Iscariot Introduction He put another parable before them, saying, "The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field, but while his men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat and went away. So when the plants came up and bore grain, then the weeds appeared also. And the servants of the master of the house came and said to him, 'Master, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have weeds?' He said to them, 'An enemy has done this.' So the servants said to him, 'Then do you want us to go and gather them?' But he said, 'No, lest in gathering the weeds you root up the wheat along with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at harvest time I will tell the reapers, Gather the weeds first and bind them in bundles to be burned, but gather the wheat into my barn.'" "The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, and the good seed is the sons of the kingdom. The weeds are the sons of the evil one, and the enemy who sowed them is the devil. The harvest is the close of the age, and the reapers are angels. Just as the weeds are gathered and burned with fire, so will it be at the close of the age. The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all law-breakers, and throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear. 24 Another mashal Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach placed before them, saying, The Malchut HaShomayim is like a man sowing zera tov (good seed) in his field. 25 But while men slept, his oyev (enemy) came and oversowed weeds in between the wheat and went away. 26 But when the wheat sprouted and produced pri, then the weeds also appeared. 27 So the servants of the Baal Bayit said to him, Adoneinu, did you not sow zera tov (good seed) in your field? How then does it have weeds? 28 And he said to them, An oyev did this. So the servants say to him, Do you want us to go and pull them all? 29 But he says, No, lest gathering the weeds you should uproot the wheat together with them. 30 Permit both to grow together until the Katzir (harvest); and in time of the Katzir, I will say to the kotzerim, Collect first the weeds, and bind them into bundles to burn them. But the wheat gather into my storehouse. Matthew 13:24 â 30 KJV Matthew 13:24 â 30 OJB In this parable is contained a number of theology principles that are abundantly apparent throughout the sum and total of the body of scripture. The struggle between light and darkness, good and evil, Moshiach and the adversary, Samech Mem. We find a number of principle actors in this parable. It is often called the âParable of the Sowerâ; however, it should rightly be called the âParable of the Sowersâ plural. A Word Study of the Parable T he Sower. The rightful and legal owner of the field. âA man who sowed good seedâ is later revealed to be Yeshua; furthermore, our Moshiach is the protagonist of the parable, who is a sower, a farmer, and a man of agriculture. In the Greek the word for sower, or he that sows, is speiro which means to scatter seeds or sow seeds. Sow is speiro which means to scatter abroad, extend the reach of something by hurling it indiscriminately in any given direction. Seed is sperma in Greek and it means offspring, male sperm, and seed from a previous harvest that is preserved for the planting season. Good the state of the seed sown by the 1st sower. In Greek the word is kalos which means goodly, beautiful, virtuous; able to reproduce, able to bear fruit, and able to produce a harvest. Field Agros which means a farm, field or a place of sowing and reaping. Enemy the dreaded antagonist of the 1st sower. He is a sower in his own right. He has no legal rights to the field; no title deed, and no license to sow any crops in this man's field. He is a trespasser and a prowler who keeps the field of the first sower under observation so that he might gain opportunity to do his dirty work. He has all of the vitriol of a disgruntled worker or a greedy competitor. He seeks to frustrate the 1st sower, to spoil his plans, waste precious resources (seed), and ultimately burn the entire field so that he might start from scratch and suffer great financial lost. It is also apparent that he seeks to defraud the original owner and to devalue the field, by making it seem unsuitable for agriculture, so that he can at a later time buy it at less than market value. Echthros means one who is actively hostile, odious, an enemy; a foe, a fierce competitor, one who opposes the will and work of another. Tares the false grain or darnel implied by the Greek word zizanion. The agents of the Enemy Sower's agenda to frustrate the 1st Sower's efforts to produce a successful harvest. There only reason for existence is to thrive and reproduce at the expense of the true wheat. They steal needful resources such as sunlight and their roots intertwine with the roots of the true grain and thus steal much needed water and nutrients. They are so intertwined with the wheat that it is impossible to entirely uproot them by anything less than an ultra-surgical extraction. Harvest Therismos which means crop, reaping, and the culling of the fruit or produce of that which has been planted. Servants Doulos which means field hand, slave whether voluntarily or involuntarily. Someone who is more responsive to the word of his superior than that of a regular hourly employee. The Parable Explained Yeshua often taught parables full of symbolism, iconography, and imagery that were both accessible and commonplace to his audiences at hand. I have no doubt that many of his followers who were involved with agriculture were instantly intrigued by the drama that was the âParable of the Two Sowersâ. Would the rightful owner and his servants retaliate against the one who sowed the tares? Would he eventually burn the field and lose his crop? As was his custom, Yeshua waited until after the crowds dispersed to give his disciples the âsodâ of his parable. In Kabbalah and Judaism, the âsodâ of a scripture is the secret, mystical, or deep spiritual meaning embedded within the same that may not be readily apparent to a person who is carnal or spiritually immature. Mat 13:36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. Mat 13:37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; Mat 13:38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; Mat 13:39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. Mat 13:40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. Mat 13:41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; Mat 13:42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Mat 13:43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. Mat 13:49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, Mat 13:50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Mat 13:51 Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord. There are so many âsodsâ embedded in this phrase in the context of the Parable of the Sowers. Sod #1: The Sower is the Son of Man (The Moshiach or The Messiah) A term that the disciples knew well as a synonym of the Moshiach, the promised Messiah who would one day bring complete Geula to the Jewish People. He is foretold to be a liberator, a fierce warrior king who would fight the wars of Hashem and bring forth a new Torah. Perhaps, they imagined him riding on the very merkavah, the sapphire chariot-throne, of Hashem with the Prophet Elijah running before him heralding his presence as foretold by Malachi. Who could possibly stand before an army lead by a warrior-king who is a descendant of David and possesses supernatural strength; furthermore, a prophet like Elijah who by the Spirit of God could blind entire armies, call down fire or lightning from heaven, and had an entire army of fire, and an a brigade of Hashem's mighty warrior angels as his personal guard. And yet in this instance Yeshua reveals himself, being the Son of Man, to be preoccupied with sowing? A man who is not honing his combat skills but is overtly concerned with the upkeep of his field. The Son of Man is the good and righteous sower. What does he sow â the good seed. Sod #2: The Son of Man will scatter his, good seed, the Disciples Throughout The World, Hashem's true field Seed throughout the Gospel symbolizes a number of things: 1. The Word of the Kingdom, the Gospel, or The Word of God - Matthew 13:3-9; 18-23 2. The Physical Body of Moshiach - John 12:24 3. The Children of the Kingdom - Matthew 13:38 This speaks prophetically of the Great Commission. In a sense Yeshua was speaking to the Apostles of things that would shortly come to pass. The Master knew that after he raised the temple of his body after 3 days in the grave his primary instruction to the Apostles would be to âGo into all the worldâ. Emphasis on all. Not just the entire Jewish Diaspora up until that time, but the entire entire world. But the Greek word for sow does not just imply âgoingâ but also a scattering or a seperation of the seeds while they were being tossed over the field. The word sow implies seperation. I could imagine that the apostles realized the implication and were greatly troubled at the thought that their newfound family, their newfound fellowship would one day be broken. He is literally saying to them that the day will come that they will scatter indiscriminately in all directions, plant themselves in various locales and venues throughout the known world, and bear fruit. Most troubling of all would be the prospect of the disciples having to separate from the Master himself. Not only was he calling them to be pioneers, pilgrims, strangers in a strange land but like the prophet Abraham they would have to leave their father's house so to speak. They would have to leave the Holy Land, Jerusalem, and most importantly the hub of Judaism - The Holy Temple. Even before this graphic foreshadowing in the parable it can be said that Yeshua was actively training the disciples for this seperation by doing test runs in which he sent the apostles out two-by-two â Luke 10. Even during these test runs Yeshua constantly warned them in regards to the resistance that they would encounter by giving them the caveat âbe wise as serpents and harmless as dovesâ and that he was sending them out like âlambs or sheep among wolvesâ â Matthew 10:16 and Luke 10:13. Sod #3: The Son of Man's field is actually the entire inhabited World including the Goyim or Gentiles - The Noahides. The news only gets worse. Not only is he going to scatter them throughout Jerusalem or Nazareth or even among the Jewish people â he was sending them to the Goyim. He was going to send them to the heathens who worshipped idols, were involved in orgies, and were considered to be unclean to the point that if a Jew had any kind of contact with a Goy he too would become ceremonially unclean. This had to be unprecedented news to the disciples. The majority of the Jewish prophets were commissioned to the children of Israel with the most glaring exemption being Jonah. Perhaps, it can be said that at the time of the telling of this parable they were not capable of fully discerning the plan of Hashem for the nations despite it clearly being laid out in scripture from Genesis to Malachi. The disciples were living under the bitter occupation of the Romans and were well aware of the harsh judgment that the Goyim had afflicted on their people in times past. The field is the world. Though Israel will always be the apple of Hashemâs eye, the nations are his treasured orchard. Despite all of its wickedness, Hashem still saw the potential for a harvest of souls from the numerous people groups that inhabit the earth. Isaiah prophesied, âAnd in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign (or rally point) of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be gloriousâ - Isaiah 11:10. Isaiah declared that the Moshiach would be for a âlight to the Gentilesâ â Isaiah 42:6, 49:6. Malachi records the declaration of Hashem that âfrom the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentilesâ and âmy name shall be great among the heathenâ â Malachi 1:11. It has always been Hashemâs agenda to have a plan of salvation that was global in scope. Perhaps, the best evidence of this is the singular verse found in John 3:16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Hashem is invested in the world in the same way a farmer or man of agriculture invests in seed, labor, and other resources to plant a field and reap a harvest. In essence, this comparison reveals that Hashem ultimately sees potential in the Goyim to be righteous through faith in Christ and to become his sons and daughters. The parable of the two sowers foreshadows this âsodâ or ârevelationâ from Yeshua that Hashem loves the entire world and was going to open a new pathway to salvation through his only begotten Son. This Great and Global Commission is recorded in 3 of the 4 Gospels: ⢠And the gospel must first be published among all nations - Mark 13:10 ⢠Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature â Mark 16:15 ⢠Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost â Matthew 28:19 ⢠And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations â Matthew 24:14 ⢠And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem â Luke 24:47 Despite the apostles affirming to Yeshua their understanding the words of the parable and its interpretation, it is quite evident that the apostles did not fully grasp the purpose of Hashem for the Goyim until after Peter witnessed the house of Cornelius receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit, Paul's report of Hashem actively calling Gentiles into his gospel of grace, and the apostolic council that followed in Jerusalem on the issue. Sod # 4 The enemy that sowed them is the devil The plot thickens with the revelation of which the 2nd Sower truly is â the devil. There are many names by which he is called in scripture: ⢠Tempter â Matthew 4:3. I Thessalonians 3:5 ⢠Accuser of the Brethren â Revelation 12:10 ⢠The Dragon â Revelation 12:9 ⢠The Serpent of Old â Revelation 12:9, 20:2 ⢠The Adversary â I Peter 5:8 But for purposes of this discourse, I will refer to him as Samech Mem. He is the disgruntled field hand, the angry former employee who is attempting to sabotage the harvest of the 1st sower, the Son of Man, Yeshua. Yeshua imparted to his disciples that he saw "xtan fall from the heavens like lightning" - Luke 10:18. The accuser is no mere angel, the Tanach records that he is a cherub who's only purpose for existence was to cover the mercy seat of the heavenlies. and Isaiah record that he desired to usurp Hashem's authority and seat of power - His holy throne. However, you must keep in mind that Hashem's throne is very different from that of a common mortal who is a king or queen. Hashem's throne is not a seat...but a chariot, his Merkavah. Perhaps xtan thought that by possessing this great vessel, this great weapon would grant him the attributes of Hashem, however the end result of his rebellion was him losing his position in the heavenly tribunal and be exiled from the presence of Hashem. Samech Mem: Interceptor of the Preaching of the Word He is now an insurgent, spiritual terrorists who is continuously plotting against the kingdom of heaven and conducting gorilla style warfare against the children of the kingdom or the good seed. He is violently opposed to the activities of the Son of Man, the righteous sower. We see from another parable detailing the conflict between the Good and Evil Sowers that he seeks to oppose The Son of Man at every turn especially when it concerns the preaching of the Gospel. When anyone hears the word of the kingdom {the Good News, The Gospel} and does not understand it, then comes the wicked one, and rips away that which was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the way side - Matthew 13:19 We see that Samech Mem is the prince of the "wayside". He is the interceptor of the Word of Hashem. We see from the above scripture that Samech Mem will stop at nothing when it comes to ensuring that his harvest, the tares remain in his service and do not defect to the kingdom of the Son of Man as a result of the preaching of the Gospel. It must also be noted that it is interesting that Yeshua states that Samech Mem comes and "steals or rips away the Word that is sown in the hearts âof those that don't understand the principles of the Word of Hashem. Also, it is intriguing that in the Talmud Samech Mem is known as the "angel of forgetfulness": âOne who reviews his material 100 times is not the same as someone who reviews his material 101 times.â The angel of forgetfulness is the Satan himself, who is known by the letters âSamechâ âMemâ â which have a combined numerical value of 100. If a person studies his material only 100 times, he is still under the power of Satan, who makes him forget his Torah knowledge. But once a student learns the material 101 times, he comes under the power of Michael â whose name has the numerical value of 101 â and this allows him to retain his knowledge - Gemara (Hagiga 9). Samech Mem opposes the sowing of the of the gospel using his ability to cloud the thoughts and minds of the tares of his planting to the point that the Bible says that he has in fact succeeded in spiritually "blinding" the minds and hearts of the unsaved and therefore the gospel is "veiled" to them- 2 Corinthians 4:4. Samech Mem: The Puppet Master of the Tares Not only does he utilize psy-warfare to oppose the proliferation of the Word, I also believe that the Word characterizes Samech Mem as a puppet master, a behind the scenes manipulator who uses the tares that plants in the midst of the wheat of God to also oppose the Word of Hashem being embedded in the hearts and souls of men and women. Look at the other barriers listed in the first parable of the Sower. 1. Tribulation or Persecution arising because of the Word - Matthew 13:21 2. Cares of this World 3. The Deceitfulness of Riches - Matthew 13:22 Do you have any doubt in your mind that Samech Mem is not behind the prevalent and ruthless storm of persecution that has blown and beaten against the church since its founding on the day of Pentecost. Moshiach himself prophesied that persecution and opposition that would come against the Apostles and consequently the Body of Christ by assuring his green and inexperienced disciples that the "gates of hell would not prevail against it (the church)" - Matthew 16:18. This scripture not only predicted both past and future periods of persecution against the Church but it also identified the direct and acute origin of this persecution - the supernatural forces of hell. Paul in what is the linchpin of spiritual warfare theology clearly indicts Samech Mem and his fellow fallen angels as the real rivals, the true nemesis of the church. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places - Ephesians 6:12. Samech Mem is the spiritual chess player, the mastermind, the puppet masters who uses tares like pawns to confront and hinder those who would preach the Gospel. The fact that he is the architect of the above 3 "gates of hell" can be found throughout the tenure of Scripture. Samech Mem: The Watcher A crucial thing that must be noted about Samech Mem is that he is an interested observer of the righteous. When Hashem asked if Samech Mem had the opportunity to observe his servant Job, he answered in the affirmative by reminding Hashem that he had "blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land" - Job 1:10. The enemy of Hashem also revealed that he did a "structural and detailed analysis" of Job's spiritual vulnerabilities to his attacks and exclaimed to Hashem has "thou not made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he has on every side" - Job 1:10. It is also written that Samech Mem conducted detailed scouting missions of the The Sower of the Good Seed himself, the Moshiach, Yeshua the Son of Hashem. Luke records that after the "the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season" - Luke 4:13. The word season in Greek is "kairou" and is often translated a "more opportune time". Essentially what Lukos reveals about the devil is that he intently place Moshiach under strict supervision in order to tempt him at a later time when his spiritual guard was down and he was most vulnerable to temptation. Samech Mem also scouted the Apostle Keva or Peter. Perhaps, Peter attracted this unwanted attention from the devil because he appeared to be a more viable threat to him since he seemed to be willing to step out on emuna or faith as evidenced by his walking on water in imitation of Moshiach and due to the fact that he was a conduit of divine revelation (Matthew 16:15-17). Perhaps, the devil mistook Moshaich's words that he "would build his church upon this rock" as referring directly to Peter since his name meant rock, and he misunderstood Moshiach's promise to give the keys of the kingdom and the power to bind and loose as a promise only being bequeathed to Peter - Matthew 16:18-19. Whatever the case was, Moshiach revealed the devil's evil interest in Peter by warning the great apostle, "Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat" - Luke 22:31. Finally, the devil is revealed as a watcher of the righteous in another foundational spiritual warfare scripture I Peter 5:8. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Referring back to the foundational text of this discussion it must be noted that Yeshua indicates that the devil is especially attentive of anytime we sit under the teaching of the Word of Hashem for the Bible says that when anyone hears the Word of the Kingdom "the wicked one immediately comes" to steal the Word away from his heart - Mark 4:15. The word immediately gives the word picture of the devil standing with a clipboard taking notes while peering over our shoulders watching every move and taking notes. Samech Mem: Commander-and-Chief, Master Strategist of the Powers and Principalities Once the devil has gathered the needed intel on us he develops "wiles" and "devices" (Ephesians 6:11 and 2 Corinthians 2:11). These strategies against the Good Seed take many forms but ultimately fall under the three categories listed in the parable. Tribulation and Persecution The fact that the devil uses evil men, tares, or the wicked to bring persecution against the righteous can be best seen in the account of Job's temptation. Hashem told the devil that he was placing "all that Job had in his power" with the stipulation that he could cause no violence to physically come to Job - Job 1:12. We therefore can assume that the troubles that fell upon Job were the direct result of the devil's will or influence. We find in Job 1:15 that Sabeans slew Job's servants and in verse 17 a band of rogue Chaldeans stole Job's camels and slew the servants responsible for tending to them. In the same way when governments and individuals, such as Boko Haram, commit acts of violence against the righteous I have no doubt that the devil's fingerprints are all over such acts. Cares of This World | Deceitfulness of Richness If the devil fails to interrupt the life-changing power of hearing a word in due season by threat of violence or force he resorts to a softer approach - the contaminating influence of mammon, fame, and influence. When Samech Mem was in the middle of his epic showdown with Moshiach in the wilderness he made a most intriguing statement: And the devil, taking him up into a high mountain, showed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it - Luke 4:5-6. The fact that Samech Mem holds a nigh unbreakable influence and grip over the systems of the world - including those in the financial realm - can be seen in a number of scripture throughout the New Testament: ⢠He referred to as being the "prince of the world" - John 12:31. It must be noted that in Daniel, demonic entities that were in opposition to Hashem were referred to as being princes of nations; however the devil is identified as the arch-prince of the entire world - Daniel 10:20. ⢠He is identified as being the "god of this world" - 2 Corinthians 4:4. ⢠"Prince of the power of the air" - one of the titles attributed to him in Ephesians 2:2. ⢠It is written "the whole world lies in wickedness" or "under the sway or direct influence of the evil one" - I john 5:19 ⢠It is written that the devil, the dragon, will one day give his "power, throne, and great authority" over to his physical representative the beast or the antichrist - Revelation 13:2 My main point in pointing out the devil's influence is to implicate him as using it in diverting the attention of those who hear the Word of the Kingdom from producing fruit by orchestrating financial temptations and offers of great wealth at the expense of that individual's personal holiness and pursuit of the will of Hashem for their lives. It is abundantly apparent from the writings of Paul that the devil used temptation of great wealth to cause some early believers to fall away from the faith as evidenced by I Timothy 6:10. For the love of money is the root of all {kinds of} evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. The concept of selling one's soul to the devil is not just an urban myth it is a stark reality with a scriptural foundation. Sadly one of the primary motivators for the writing of this book is that the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches not only acts as an external existential threat or negative influence upon the Body of Moshiach, it has become interwoven with theology and is currently being peddled to the masses on a daily basis on national Christian television. Samech Mem: The Sower of Tares In conclusion, Samech Mem ultimate agenda and most effective strategy is the planting tares, or his children, among the children of the kingdom. It is my sincere belief that xtan plants tares in the world and proliferates wickedness in order to provoke the wrath of Hashem to utterly destroy the inhabitants of the world. I will discuss these tares, or Erev Rav, in more detail in the next chapter. Sod # 5 - The Reapers are the angels It is said by the Jewish sages that angels are like computer programs or utilities they are programmed to perform only function during the course of their entire existence. Just like tares are the mortal instruments by which he accomplishes his purposes in the earth; angels are Hashem's supernal instruments by which he brings judgment upon the wicked. Psalms 78:49 reveals that Hashem sent a band of evil angels, most translations render it destroying angels, to bring Hashem's wrath, anger, and indignation upon pharaoh and the Egyptians. Genesis 19 in the story of Lot reveals that Hashem utilized two angels as heralds or harbingers of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. Yeshua in the parable of the Sowers explicitly states that holy angels will play a significant role in the Day of the Lord and the final judgment of the wicked. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom {sever the wicked from the just} all things that offend {cause sin, proliferate and popularize rebellion against Hashem), and them which do iniquity {are lawbreakers or live lawlessly} And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth - Matthew 13:41-42; 13:49. Paul is even more emphatic concerning the ultimate destruction of the wicked by the hands of the angels of Moshiach in 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9: And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; We see the prophetic fulfillment of these prophecies in the Book of Revelation as angelic activity in the heavens reaches a fever pitch as the wrath of Hashem is poured out upon the "vessels of wrath". Just as the field hands were anxious, eager, and zealous for the field of their employer as evidenced by their asking him if they should burn the field in order to purge it of the contamination caused by the presence of the tares, I believe that the mighty angels of Hashem approach his throne frequently asking him the time is near or imminent for them to carry out the judgment or prosecution of the wicked that trouble the Earth and the Good Seed. Sod 6 # The Harvest is the End of the World or Age The final judgment, the Day of the Lord, and The End of the Age are all synonyms that depict what will occur after the Moshiach returns to Earth. As it specifically relates to the parable, it means the final (forced) seperation between the wheat of Hashem {the Good Seed} and the tares {children of the wicked one}. This final seperation between light and darkness, sheep and goat, and good and evil as it relates to judgment is foreshadowed throughout Scripture and one theological principle is abundantly clear - Hashem will never judge the righteous in the course of judging the wicked that are in their midst. In Genesis 6, Hashem spared Noah the fate of the condemned world by separating him and his family in the body of the ark. In Genesis 19, Hashem states that even if the righteous are the minority in a location that is worthy of his wrath he will spare the entire location for their sake. Even though the minimum quota of righteous individuals was not present in Sodom, Hashem still spared Lot and his family due to his personal holiness. This concept or spiritual law that Hashem will never "slay the righteous with the wicked" {Genesis18:25} is confirmed by Yeshua himself in Luke 17 and Matthew 24. And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. The day will come when the harvest will be ripe for the picking and the tares will finally be separated and uprooted from the midst of the righteous. This judgment will only proceed when the righteous are gathered together to safety in the presence of Moshiach at his imminent arrival. Pay close attention to when the wrath of Hashem will be poured out on the tares from the above scriptures. "The day that Noah entered the ark" and the "day that Lot went out of Sodom"; therefore, the day that we the Good Seed of the Kingdom are gently harvested or plucked up {raptured) from the field of the world is the very same day that the Day of the Lord will commence. Then the saying will come to pass that the "wicked will cease from troubling and the weary will be at rest". Join the conversation, add a comment, and let your voice be heard!
