Love how tumblr has its own folk stories. Yeah the God of Arepo we’ve all heard the story and we all still cry about it. Yeah that one about the woman locked up for centuries finally getting free. Reminders....

I just….I feel deprived of love, I feel a little empty, needing constant reminders that the bond I have with people has not become redundant, that they still love me, think of me, consider me their friend; actually, what I would want is for our relationship to become stronger and deeper as time passes, for the love to become more viscous, but it seems to be so feeble, the relationships I have, all of them bound by these non-durable threads -they’ve stayed connected for a while, years now, but there’s no saying when sun damage weakens them, or the weather winds tug too hard, or even when the fibers just give in because they’ve endured time. I need constant reminders that it has not happened yet.

My teenage self remembers the 2000s rom coms being really great, sweet and meaningful. Though as I'm watching 'Laws of Attraction' my developed frontal lobe cannot seem to ignore how much of an asshole Daniel is in it; men generally are in these kind of movies? The woman, Audrey here, is poised, independent, ethical in her work, obviously accomplished while the guy is shabby but charming. Nearing the end, he uses his proximity and access to Audrey against her in a case and yet somehow she's the mean one asking for a divorce? The whole conversation suddenly tilted towards the priority that HE loves her? Complete BS.
