Funny how you were “dead to them” until they needed someone to pick up prescriptions, get their groceries, drive them to appointments, or become their unpaid caregiver.

Funny how “never speak to me again” turned into “how could you be so cruel and heartless” the second their health declined and they realized you weren’t coming back.

They didn’t miss you.

They missed what you did for them.

And now they’re 😱 shocked 🫢 shocked 😮 shocked 😳 that the child they screamed at, disowned, and told to drop dead isn’t lining up to wipe their ass and manage their medications in their old age.

You don’t owe them nursing care.

You don’t owe them forgiveness.

You don’t owe them shit.

You’re more than allowed to stay gone.

Their guilt trip is just a manipulation tactic.

Do you think they’re going to be nice to you if you do what they want; drop your life, sacrifice everything, do unqualified medical work, just because they look weak and pathetic and “might change”?

Nope.

- Hot girl with ugly laugh

- The most disrespectful bitch ever

- Weirdo, annoying, freak show

- Crackhead, drug addict, alcoholic

But we’re the problem for using correct terminology.
