"Atorra" from The Broken Queen by Lydia Foxglove @lidiyafoxglove I got my hands on an arc of The Broken Queen, an indie published book. I've read a few select self published books, often because of a recommendations and I've loved the experience. This was no different. ❤️ I loved my time with this book. its was doing its own thing, and it was charming. i loved the characters, i liked the paths the story chose. I don't pay attention to tropes but it felt like this books was written not paying attention to tropes but making its own choices because the author wanted it that way. and i wanted it too! near the ending i was excited and dreading it being over, because i wanted to keep spending time with the characters. This is our main girl Atorra. A reincarnated soul encased in a doll body and infused by magic. A Fanarlem. She was a delight and I wanted to paint her like this but also studying beetles XD If you like the sound of anything i said here, do yourself a favor and go check out this book. Don't go in with any expectations other than having a fun read and a world that might stay with you long after you finish the book. Also, its got dragons XD did i forget to mention those?
