I have so much work to do but this is what I draw instead. It's alright though, I've convinced more people to read about my favourite couple so it's all worth it.

I know it’s a day late but I had to draw my current favorite book couple for Valentine’s Day. And also to try my hand at making a book cover <3

“Hideous,” he said.  “A hag of a woman.”

“And you,” he said.  “You don’t think me a handsome man?”

“Had you crawled out from under my bed when I was a child, I would have bludgeoned you to death with my father’s mace.”

Meanwhile me:

it's an arrange marriage that instead of the couple resent one another, they both decide to accept it and try to make it work - not romantically, just as companions.

and i looooved it! it's been such a long time since i've read a friends-to-lovers book and this was amazing!

the worldbuilding is quite interesting, as the couple are from different species/races all together. Ildiko is human, while Brishen is Kai. They both think each other very ugly but also very witty and smart from the get go, and I squirmed reading they slowly realizing they don't think the other as ugly anymore
