Bringing Back The Sound of 2014 Tumblr
The last time I was actually using Tumblr properly, it was 2019. Skinny jeans were still cool, COVID wasn't on the radar yet, the economy was less shit, nightlife was still fun, people still communicated without the use of AI, and Matty Healy dating Taylor Swift was simply a rumour from 2014 and nothing more. A lot has changed in that time for me both personally and professionally, but the end result of it all is that I've decided to come back to Tumblr. There's so much I could say, and I eventually probably will, but for now I want to keep things as concise as possible so let me get into it.
Social media has become less social, the product is now the market, and I and everyone in the market is up for sale. I've been fed AI, influencers, and so much political discourse that I fear I might have forgotten how to be a human and started thinking I'm simply fighting to be the fattest pig at the county fair. So for the first time and also the millionth, my name is Wyatt, I am Techno Westerns, I make music with my own two hands, I'm a real person just like you, I hate AI, I don't have any hidden agenda or hidden funding, I'm just a dude making music by himself and playing with some cool people in a live setting to make it happen.
