Reblogging for later reference after I tried it earlier today to try to calm down. It actually does help a lot, not just for sleep but if you have problems with anxiety.

My default mental setting is “vibrating intensely in the background.” After doing this, I felt noticeably calm and relaxed - I wasn’t as fixated on my breathing, I wasn’t tense, my movements weren’t jerky and I didn’t feel like I had to be as tense as possible to be under control. 10/10 would recommend.

How are you starting to cope with BPD? I need help..I don't know where to start

I'm sorry sweetheart I only just saw this! Quite honestly, for the last few years I hadn't been coping which was the issue. So I'm only just learning myself! Currently I'm on a low dose of antidepressants to help with the anxiety and depression side of things which seem to be helping a smidge (I was very much against taking medication for years but finally caved). And I'm doing both cognitive behavioural therapy and group therapy to help with the route of my issues. I also have the most amazing girlfriend supporting my every step and without her I couldn't find the strength for this I must admit. And I surround myself with as much positivity as possible.However what I'm doing to help me might not necessarily help you. We all have our own journeys to go through whilst battling this mental illness. Surround yourself with those who love and support you and be sure to cut out any negativity. There are so many people going though what we're going through - we really aren't alone and that in itself helps calm the mind. There are many websites that can help you and many blogs on here that contain information to support you. Please make sure you have a dig around and see if you find any safe internet spaces to help you.I'm sorry I don't have all the answers. I'm only just climbing the ladder to recovery (or the best self I can be with this) and it is a hard and long journey to make. Just know you are loved and cared for and there is always going to be someone that understands exactly what you're doing through. If you ever need a friend, feel free to message me and I will be there for you any time. Stay safe, be strong, and fight for your happiness my love. You're so deserving of it. 💖
