“In an 1826 essay, Ann Radcliffe wrote:
‘Terror and horror are so far opposite, that the first expands the soul, and awakens the faculties to a high degree of life; the other contracts, freezes, and nearly annihilates them.’
In other words, terror was high art, meant to shake the reader alive. Terror is standing on the edge of a cliff, feeling both fear and the overwhelming beauty of the scene in front of you. Horror pushes you over that cliff, leaving no appreciation for beauty or the sublime, just sheer and blinding fear followed by blood and guts. For Radcliffe, horror was low art, a bomb that destroys feeling, leaving the reader numb—and something true writers shouldn’t aspire to. Fortunately, not all writers of the Gothic agreed!”

Autistic women are at a much higher risk of abuse and exploitation, especially sexual abuse and exploitation, and men know this. Their claims of wanting an "autistic gf" are not just from a place of fetishizing what they perceive as "quiet, nerdy girls" although that's certainly part of it. Many of them know that autistic women can be more susceptible to obliviousness to red flags or abusive behavior. Many autistic women are more likely to give benefit of the doubt; they can be used to people not giving them grace and can over-extend that goodwill to others, assuming the best in people’s intentions.
Men know they can show kindness to autistic women under the guise of wanting to be friends and then use that to their advantage to sexually abuse them. Many of them are also aware that autistic women may earn less money, and can thus be exploited financially as well. They hold their financial and emotional support (although they often do a poor job of this) of their partner over their heads to convince them the way they are treated is normal. As in, "I treat you like shit because I have to work harder to deal with you" etc.
This isn’t meant to insinuate autistic women cannot be cognizant of bad behavior, but this is the reality many autistic women face especially those with higher support needs. Just like they can be more likely to be scammed, autistic women are more likely to be victims of other exploitation via social relationships. It is unfortunate and all of this is to say that autistic women would do well to be on guard and realize that men who say they “really want an autistic gf” are often not saying this from a good place. You do not have to shut yourself out of forming relationships, but you should be wary.

What a perfect example to show the importance of watching female sports. The direct impact it has on your self esteem and the confidence it instills in young girls around you ❤️
“If a society puts half its children into short skirts and warns them not to move in ways that reveal their panties, while putting the other half into jeans and overalls and encouraging them to climb trees, play ball, and participate in other vigorous outdoor games; if later, during adolescence, the children who have been wearing trousers are urged to “eat like growing boys,” while the children in skirts are warned to watch their weight and not get fat; if the half in jeans runs around in sneakers or boots, while the half in skirts totters about on spike heels, then these two groups of people will be biologically as well as socially different. Their muscles will be different, as will their reflexes, posture, arms, legs and feet, hand-eye coordination, and so on. (…) There is no way to sort the biological and social components that produce these differences. We cannot sort nature from nurture when we confront group differences in societies in which people from different races, classes, and sexes do not have equal access to resources and power, and therefore live in different environments.”
