Hie, I'm here as well now :3 ill just throw in random art :P
One of the most life-changing things I ever learned came from Mythbusters, where they tested and proved (with cognitive testing puzzles and reaction time tests) that lying down and resting with the intention to sleep STILL provided significant mental benefits over just staying awake, even if a person couldn’t fall asleep in the amount of time they had.
It helps me to actually sleep to know that just lying down with my eyes closed is still doing me some good, and helps me to not freak out/beat myself up when I stay up later than intended. Any amount of rest is better than no rest!
So if you didn’t know that…now you do
do you know that i think of this post every time i can’t sleep op. what mythbusters did for you, you have done for a great many others.
Nichelle Nichols has passed away.
Martin Luther King once convinced her to continue on as Uhura when she was about to quit. He told her how she was a role model for so many people and had to stay on. He rightfully recognized her as a trailblazer and the inspiration she continued to be.
(Second picture is Nichols participating in a recruitment program for NASA in late 70s/early 80′s, aimed at women and people of color. The third picture is Nichols onboard the stratospheric observatory for infrafred astronomy in 2017, as one of the first non essential personell to be able to do so)

I redid this older comic I made for my storytelling class based on this post. Have some cute wlw love in your day.
It’s hard, if I had more free time I could make it so pretty, this is what I could throw together for the assignment.
Everything you’d need to know about Hellboy’s character in two panels.
Reading this like a manga gives a different image

Heroes at Home
I love desire paths. There's something so wonderous about seeing an echo of humanity. Depending on it's location, a desire path can mean so many different things.
In a city, like the pic above, they represent rebellion, and efficiency. The messiness of humanity. We like to imagine we're oh so logical and neat so we design our cities to be logical and neat an then real humans literally trample on that idea. The ego required to think you can design something perfect that checks every box. Life is all about compromise and patching stuff when some new problem arises. Though people have certainly tried! Ohio state univeristy let students carve their desire paths, and then paved them over. It looks pretty artsy.
Some people will try to discourage desire paths, but this is almost always going to fail.
Eventually, people just have to accept them. Humans are too dang stubborn.
Certain desire paths are just adorable. A 0.5 second time saver. You just can't design for maximum efficiency, humans will always find shortcuts!
Though on occasion a desire path can actually be the least efficient way...especially if you're superstitious.
In a wilder area, such as below, they show us the curiosity of humans. A desire path somewhere natural often tells you there's something interesting just ahead. (Though remember some ecosystems are fragile and will suffer if trampled! Stick to paths in these sorts of areas)
And how about desire stairs? I always think these look so cool. We get see humans determination to climb, to traverse every kind of terrain.
And for something really crazy...a desire path used for centuries will create a 'holloway'
All of these pics are off the Desirepath subreddit, check them out for more examples! And many thanks to the users who submitted these photos.

River ‘Ritual’ Beast art doll
Commission
Design of this doll is based on monster from horror movie called “Ritual”. Client wanted this creature to get some river/fish Influence in design, it also had to be covered with fur at the same time (when the original monster is covered with bare folded skin) And I had a lot of fun working on it’s head haha.
Btw a new flexible Cosclay clay was used in the work, it is not fragile and will not break if it falls on the floor or bend by hands. I would recommend doll artists/sculptors to try this stuff out, but be prepared that it is quite difficult to mix.
Super sculpey, Cosclay, faux fur, wire+plastic armature, primer, acrylic paint, varnish. Posable neck has plastic ball-and-socket armature inside.
* Size: Doll is around 30 cm length and 27 cm tall.
