Wild Mood Swings need more love…!

So Claudine and Rui.

Claudine knew her destiny as a stage girl since she was a kid. She’s confident to the point of arrogance and is completely obsessed with surpassing Maya as the head of their class. She doesn’t directly rely on Maya as the drive for the stage, but surpassing Maya is her top goal.

Rui didn’t realize her dream of standing on stage until she met Tamao. She’s shy, lacks confident, and is very modest. She doesn’t want to surpass Tamao, but stand with her on stage as equals. She relies on Tamao so much to shine on stage that she literally says she always tries to copy her when talking to Futaba in the Hanged Man bond story, and Yuyuko literally calls her out on it in AA.

The base of Claudine and Rui are the exact opposite, and so are how they treat their respected partners

Claudine acts almost tsundere towards Maya. She takes nearly everything from her as a challenge and always takes the opportunity to upstage her. Whenever Maya compliments her, she freaks out and calls her “infuriating”.

Meanwhile Rui is very kind and respectful towards Tamao. She treats her with a higher level of respect than she does anyone else. She hates to see Tamao upset so much she literally challenges Futaba to a duel for her sake in one of the earlier chapters.

How they’re treated by Maya and Tamao are almost the opposite too, as Maya treats Claudine like a highly respected calleague and Tamao treats Rui like a friend.

When you’re drawing hands, use fingernails to show perspective, orientation, and form of the fingers. Don’t worry about the literal shape of the nail, unless it’s an important element of your character. 

A common mistake is to draw fingernails flat. They’re actually rounded. They follow that cylindrical top plane of the rest of the finger. The nail explains if the finger is coming towards or moving away from the viewer in space, and how much. A nail acts as a natural cross-contour line. Its left-to-right angle also explains how the finger is rotated. If you ever draw a finger that just looks off somehow, try redrawing the fingernail. It might fix your problem.

It’s a good habit to compare the orientation of the thumb’s nail to the rest of the fingers, since the thumb actually faces away from the other fingers. It’s a common mistake to draw the thumb parallel to the others and flatten out the whole hand. As the thumb reaches across the palm to grab something, it rotates to face the opposite angle of the fingers.

A million more than last time, at the least.

The American people do not want this.

Things are changing. The coalition is growing. The tide is shifting against tyranny and cruelty.

Don’t lose hope.

We are not alone.

And there is a lot you can do to help. Voting in the midterms is essential of course but the real work happens outside elections.

Find your niche, do what you can where you can. Diversity of tactics is how we win.

They get the previously politically unengaged people upset about the economy in the same movement as the people who fight for trans rights and immigrant safety and to free Palestine.
