we currently owe nearly $4000 by august 13 or the two of us and our cats will be homeless

our landlord is fucking with us massively; we were explicitly told by the judge when our landlord took us to court that we owe less than $1600 as of mid-July, so more than $2000 extra has materialized out of nowhere, and our landlord is refusing to communicate with us or explain the charges or why none of the money we've given them since April is on the ledger (and we've given them a lot!). the actual amount we owe may be closer to $2500, but they refuse to tell us

we are both disabled - I am recovering from spinal surgery following a neck injury, and my partner has recently been diagnosed with endometriosis and has an absolutely necessary hysterectomy scheduled in a few months. my partner is also currently in the hospital and has been for 5 days. being homeless will be extremely detrimental to our physical and mental health; it's also the middle of summer with record-breaking heat, and we live and work in a city with an extremely high violent crime rate

if we are evicted, the money donated will go towards food, temporary housing, and a deposit on a new place to live
