this blog is really not that serious but i am probably the easiest warren zevon fan to discover on here, not that there's more than 5 of us, so i guess i should at least back up some of these posts. "roleplaying as ronald reagan" was a joke; the song the envoy is inspired by philip habib, reagan's envoy to the middle east. i am mostly just shitposting here and sometimes i miss.

But Mr. Habib has a true fan in Mr. Zevon, who dedicates his new song, ''The Envoy,'' to Mr. Habib whenever he sings it on tour. ''I wasn't really disappointed that he didn't win the Nobel Peace Prize because, despite his efforts, nothing's really solved out there,'' said Mr. Zevon, who is on tour in Chicago.

It was the first time I realized there was this really deep, dark side of Warren. He fought me a bit, then he said, “Some of us don’t have the right to vote. I’ve done many things in my life that have taken the right to vote away from me.”
