My second piece for the @ninjaneverquit-zine! I drew this back in October of 2020. This art was based off of the decoded mini series!

first off I'm one of those people that views business as a distant and shitty dad to Emmet

so business doesn't ditch emmet to some generic family early on, raises him to be like an heir before realizing he's... much too sweet to fit the shoes he's trying to fill

ends up training him alongside gcbc but doesn't want it to seem like he's biased because of relation, so he completely dissociates with his own son and assigns him to a very low position in the super secret police - parking tickets and paperwork

but, given that he's Emmet "sweetest most dedicated person alive" Brickowski, he's still a big fan of his job and very oblivious to how bad off he really is

so you can probably understand how... awkward it is, when he's making sure the current construction project in bricksburg is up to code and ends up taking a bit of a dive...
