There’s nothing funnier than thinking of how much the Z Team ragged on Robert pre-identity reveal about him not knowing what it takes to be a hero.
Meanwhile Mecha Man has done sooo much hero work. Interviews, conferences, ads, photoshoots, community events, the whole mile. He’s spoken at funerals of the people he couldn’t save in time, he’s hung out and played with kids that don’t have powers but dream of being a hero.
Robbie’s Mecha Man was all about saving people, yes, but that’s it. Maybe he did press conferences or released merch but he didn’t do much for the community, not like Robert did. Not like Robert strived to do.
He organized and donated to charities back when he still had millions and millions of dollars from his inheritance. Programs to help people facing discrimination based on their powers or their hybrid features. Even when he’d just gotten done with saving victims from a plane and a long press conference, Robert pushes himself to continue to be active in the community. Not because of Mecha Man as a legacy but because of how good he is as a whole. He’s not doing this for anyone other than the people who need it and he doesn’t expect—no, he refuses to gain anything back from it.
The statues, the murals, the literature pieces the fans make about this man are enough for him. To see these people still care about him and love him even when he doesn’t always save everyone is enough for him.
I mean this man admitted to spending all his inheritance on this suit and yeah maybe its cause he’s carry the guilt and shame of not continuing his father’s legacy if he put the suit away but also because Robert simply wants to help people.
Oh btw this post was suppose to be funny so I’ll continue this by saying that Robert and Chase 100% holds back laughing whenever their team says they can’t lecture them about heroes cause they aren’t meanwhile Trackstar and Mecha Blue are just like: sure sure
