In 1944 a kitten named George (short for General Electric) was saved from drowning by a U.S. Navy crew member. George was then photographed and given a liberty card and detailed health record. Source.

(Imagine description: three trans pride flags with text, text reads "trans lives are more important than cis feelings", "trans lives are more important than politics", and "trans lives are more important than religion".)

Gender
Super honesty time at 4 am day 1:
I never thought about my gender when I was younger. Now that I’m on my late twenties, I feel confused and it feels like I have so much to learn. Looking back with all the things I used to do, I play around with being the opposite sex like drawing moustaches and beards on myself.; Pretend to pee standing up. You get the gist.
It gives me the impression that maybe I want to be a boy? But at the same time I feel like I’m both. Sometimes it feels like I’m on a dial of gender, a scale perhaps. Percentage. But now as I ‘loosely research’ on the internet, meaning asking google questions like you’re talking to a friend, because I feel lonely. And maybe google can be one. I guess the power of technology. Connecting a collective of people on the same boat as me asking the same questions. Anyways back to the topic of gender. I guess one thing I stumbled upon is gender= gender identity + gender expression. And I’m even more confused. Which one am I doing? Which factors are what? And here I thought I figured out my sexual orientation (mostly?) now I have the looming questions regarding my gender.
It’s not like I wanna worry about labels right now I don’t wanna put myself in a box. I just really wanna understand and be able to fully be comfortable with myself. I think this is gonna be a journey for me and hopefully I can look back and see how far I’ve come.
