one. magnetic - kismet.

"it's not a big secret that i'm such a big fan of kismet, and magnetic just so happens to be one of my favorite songs by them. i love how effortlessly bright it feels. it's playful, catchy and it never gets old no matter how many times i play it. not to mention, it's upbeat in a way that's not overwhelming. on days that feel way too long for my liking, i tend to listen to similar sounds as a pick me up, and of course, this song is on top of the list. but don't think it's just good for pick-me-ups, i find myself listening to this song just because."

two. love dive - i:ris.

"i think love dive is one of those songs that never really leave your playlist, and for good reason. when i first saw the music video for it, i thought the girls were so cool. there's something that feels so elegant about it too, from the melody down to the choreography. it just draws me back in each time. if i'm being honest, this song went platinum in my apartment from the amount of times i've played it. this is the kind of song i'd listen to hype myself up or give myself a little boost of confidence before going on stage."

three. shine - everlast.

"i can't forget shine by the everlast oppas. the thing that got me hooked to this song is definitely the choreography. seeing them perform this on stage is an exhilarating experience, sometimes i even feel like i'm partying on stage with them. i feel like that's a lot coming from someone who's very... for lack of a better word, awkward when it comes to parties."

four. hot - callista.

"if i had to pick a song i'd have wanted for serene, it might just have to be hot by callista. i love how bold and almost cinematic it feels. though, if i had to pick one thing, i think the lyrics are what left a lasting impression in me. i love the idea of embracing your own passion and being confident in the path you've chosen, especially when the path ahead isn't clear. i think that's a feeling a lot of artists can relate to, and it's something i'd hope serene is able to convey through our music as well."

five. queencard - divine.

"queencard sounds like a song that feels like it came from another world entirely. i love how unique it sounds. the arrangement is fun, but so is the rest of the song. it's vibrant and unexpected. who would think to put kim kardashian and ariana in the same verse? only divine, that's who. it's almost impossible to resist to sing and dance along to it, though what i love most is how much confidence it conveys. it's bold, fun, and maybe even a little ridiculous in the best way possible. i think that's what makes it so memorable for me."

six. xo (only if you say yes) - hiraeth.

"i honestly just really like this song. when hiraeth first had their comeback, i remember it playing almost everywhere. and whenever it would come up, i didn't really think much of it. up until it became the only song i'd listen or sing to whether i'm in our dressing room or at home. so, i think that's the best way to describe it. xo is the kind of song that sounds easy to listen to, with such a warm and dreamy arrangement, but there's something about it that slowly pulls you in until suddenly, it's the only song you have on repeat."

seven. cosmic - trixie.

"cosmic is one of those songs that you expect to go one way then goes the other. it's upbeat at first, and the bass in it definitely makes you think that it sounds, well, a little darker than most of their songs. but then the chorus hits you and it makes it feel like such an ethereal song. my favorite part's the bridge, obviously, the high note is just the pièce de résistance of the whole song. i don't think it's leaving my playlist any time soon, matter of fact, i don't think it's leaving at all."

eight. perfect night - callista.

"this song feels more like a breath of fresh air whenever i listen to it. i love how the arrangement sounds light and a little groovy, and the beat's not too much. callista's vocals never fail to impress, honestly. they make it sound like they're genuinely just having fun and living their best lives 'with their girlies'. it makes you imagine driving around the windows rolled down while you laugh the night away."

nine. love scenario - axis.

"this song feels like a warm memory i didn't know i had. every time i listen to it, it feels as if i'm the one in their shoes. i think what i love most about it is how it talks about an ending without making it feel completely sad. like it's more appreciating the time you had and the memories you spent making together. that's a beautiful message, don't you think?"

history

youra grew up in a creative household in seoul and began her path to stardom through musical theatre. her mom is a musical actress while her dad is a playwright. growing up, she's always been a creative herself but essentially followed the same path as her parents thinking that was what she's meant to do but she felt as if musical theatre wasn't her true calling. it didn't stop her parents from enrolling her in extracurriculars that would further nurture her skill in singing, acting and dancing.

she is fourteen when she first began auditioning. like any aspiring trainee, she auditioned for multiple companies, including the big three: adagio, dsn, and kh, with the latter being her company of choice, which of course was against the behest of her parents. they're more of a traditional sort. they would've preferred for her to pursue acting rather than become an idol. her debut comes through the idol survival show, 'eighteen', where she placed seventh overall. she began gaining traction and acquiring fans all over up until a week after the show ends, where a lot of people assumed that she had her parents pull strings to get her to debut. it's hearsay at best, considering there is no proof and her skill proved otherwise. #riggedallegationsdebunked

because of this, youra is determined to work extra hard whether its through their music, variety or acting. to prove that she does have the talent and the skill to have debuted in serene in the first place.

personality

in professional settings and towards acquaintances, youra can be timid and very polite. she's a little introverted but once you get to know her, she is perhaps one of the most down-to-earth people you'll ever meet. her company had tried to portray her as an elegant/mature idol but it never really took because of how eccentric/goofy she could get. she has a weird sense of humor and is often warm and sweet towards those she cares about.

she tends to be very curious, especially when meeting new people, often asking too many questions she has no business asking. though she doesn't mean anything bad by it, that's how she expresses her interest towards others.

she's very much workaholic, considering she moves like she's trying to justify her life and where she is.

canon relationships

towards her family: she's still very close to her parents despite their reservation towards her chosen profession. while she has proven herself plenty, she continues to wonder whether her parents truly approve of the idol life.

towards her friends: truly a lover of friendships. she's the type to go above and beyond, and make time even when she's neck deep in schedules.

towards her group: serene can't disband, she will explode. she'd be the type to be too fond of her members, often clinging and babying them.

towards fans: another member who can feed into the parasocial aspect of the fandom. though she does genuinely care for their fans and likes to hear their thoughts on whatever project she's working on. likes to tease and get teased by them. she's very grateful of the fans she has now considering how rocky her debut was.
