basically the best thing a story can have is a woman who is doomed. massive points if she destroys the people around her in response.

this is so mean but sometimes i see published writing and suddenly no longer feel insecure about my own writing ability. like well okay that got published so im guessing i dont have much to worry about

china's rise in global prestige and soft power is really inspiring. way more than japans or south koreas since china didn't have to sacrifice it's sovereignty to usa empire for it. just ten years ago "made in china" was a meme for cheap low quality stuff but now people are excited to seek out chinese products.
