Ares was the lover of Aphrodite and basically everyone’s least favorite god. “Curse of men” he may be, but the ancient Greeks liked to tell stories that ended with him getting caught in nets and hit in the face with boulders, so.

FATAL FLAW!  /    You’re too clever by half. Your intelligence is unmatched, but your smart mouth is going to get you into trouble one of these days. Everyone says so. Odds are you’ll make one witty remark too many and meet a tragic, easily preventable end that surprises no one in the least. You’ll be mourned, of course, but we all saw it coming, and you kind of deserved it.

GREEK MYTHOLOGY DEATH!  /     Killed by a wild boar that was sent by one of the gods. See, here’s the thing—someone sent that wild boar. It might have been Artemis, because she was jealous of your skill with a bow and arrow; it might have been Ares, who hated you; or it might have been Apollo, because your girlfriend blinded his son. There’s really no telling. You made enemies. This is just what happens when you’re too beautiful to even exist. LITERARY SETTING! /     You got Juliet’s house in Verona! Not only is Verona one of the most beautiful places in Italy, it’s also the setting of one of the most iconic love stories of all time—perfect for a hopeless romantic like yourself. You can walk the old-fashioned cobblestone streets, eat your weight in deliciously photogenic gelato, and look out from your balcony at night, waiting for your lover to climb up the wooden trellis and profess their undying affection. TWO HEADCANONS YOU HAVE FOR YOUR MUSE THAT YOU NEVER TOLD ANYONE

Damian self-soothes with his violin, not sparring. Fighting can be helpful, but given the time and space he’ll cycle through several different pieces on his violin to work through whatever he’s feeling. He prefers movie soundtracks & Mozart when he’s angry; usually symphony no. 25. Arabic & Syrian composers like Malek Jandali are his favorites to play, though.

THREE THINGS THAT YOUR MUSE LIKES DOING IN THEIR FREE TIME

Violin; oftentimes when he’s bored or has free time, he’ll adapt music for his violin or learn new pieces. He especially enjoys learning scores from movie soundtracks.

Video games; Dick got him hooked on a variety of games, some popular and some obscure. Damian tends to like strategy or first person shooter. They’re a healthier outlet for his hyper-competitive disposition. His favorite partners are Dick & Jon, though he finds malicious joy in beating all of Tim’s high scores.

Volunteering at the animal shelter; though a few ground rules had to be set first, mostly concerning impromptu adoptions. Damian plays with the dogs, reads Das Kapital out loud with ten cats in his lap, grooms the rabbits, and scrubs cages. The shelter staff know him by (fake) name, but they also know not to make small talk and just let him do his thing. The animals are always calmer after Damian visits.

TWO PHOBIAS / FEARS YOUR MUSE HAS

Familial/paternal rejection; Damian loved to remind everyone he was Batman’s true son or rightful heir. Pieces of this are self-entitlement and overblown confidence, sure. But despite his convoluted childhood, he was still a 10 year old boy, transplanted into his father’s care- a father with multiple children, all with great ability and achievement both as robins and in daily life. Aggressively maintaining his ‘rightful place’ was as much a defense mechanism as it was brattiness. Damian had to fight for a place he felt was rightfully his to begin with, but also ensure he did truly belong there.

Death; Damian has died. As long as we’re being real, he’ll probably die & revive again. More so, Damian was (and is) a young child when he died. No matter his training or upbringing, it’s only fair that it traumatized him to some degree.
