Bad writing is wonderful!!! Bad writing is a platform from which you can build your masterpiece! Bad writing is the backbone of good writing!

Give yourself permission to write badly. No, actually- give yourself permission to write something TERRIBLE. Give yourself permission to write such drivel that you can barely read it.

Nothing comes out a masterpiece the first time!! You think Isaac Asimov never wrote a total stinker he had to rebuild from the ground up? You think Jules Verne never wrote utter slop for a first draft?

I would like to preface by wishing everyone a great end of year celebration! Everyone has just been amazing through their support and we are beyond grateful.

Sadly, on behalf of our family, I am once again asking for help. After a tough year and a super typhoon that destroyed our home, we are unfortunately at wits end allover again.

My government scholarship — that was supposed to be used not only for my studies, but also for our everyday expenses like food, electricity and water, AND the holidays so we can also celebrate — was delayed even more. It's been seven months and we might be looking for another 2-3 month wait. Because of this, our family will not be celebrating Christmas this year. But I hope that maybe we might be able to have something for the upcoming New Year's.

If you can, please also reblog this update on our situation. It's been the roughest year of our life but we are now three months out of an abusive home, and it is a decision we do not regret.

However, with our mom out of the job and all three of us still studying, we are struggling to get by with only scholarship funds to keep an entire family afloat. In no more than a year from now, my sister and I would be graduating and finally working - hopefully as a veterinarian and a professor, respectively. But we genuinely need all the support we can get to keep going until then. Thank you, everyone. 🪷

My sister and I have resorted to taking side-jobs to make sure our youngest sibling will have things for the coming school year, and our single mom is doing what she can to budget with very little. But everything is barely enough to make ends meet for money and rent, especially with the loans our father has left us.
