At first I thought it was ironic that I started having a flare during Lupus awareness month🤔 But then I realized it needed to happen. I'm living the reality of an invisible disease that can go from dormant to active in a split second (no joke) thus debilitating you completely😞 • For the next few weeks I will be working from home due to the commute taking a toll on my body while it's this fragile. I feel grateful that my job is being very understanding of this💜 I'm having to limit even time dedicated to my biz because of this lupus flare... that's why I've been so quiet online lately... • I know I will pull through, like I always do & that it won't ever bring me down completely. Each fight feels harder because my body is weak, but my support, including the big guy☝️🛐 help give me the strength I need to keep going💜 (at Seaport District NYC)

I've made the decision to fully dedicate myself to a gluten-free lifestyle to aid my apparent gluten sensitivity that has been neglected. I made this decision to follow my gut (no pun intended) after a recent flare up with no light at the end. After countless research and supporting consultations, I've decided to take the plunge. What have I got to lose at this rate?? I'm hoping that making this change will aid or even resolve existing symptoms. The only sure way is to test it indefinitely. It's time I take control of my health and make a change for my future self. Please, if you have autoimmune diseases do not rule out gluten sensitivity - it could be the cause.

• I want to expand the "la vida lupie" name to more platforms to heighten awareness • I want to truly combat frequent "fogs" • I want to educate at least 10 more people about lupus and its symptoms • I want to get back into remission • I want to be more optimistic than pessimistic in stressful situations

Sharp pain from the frost and joints that swell and reduce as you go in & out of the cold. My poor rings are about to be stuck :(
