So, I managed to run Castrum three times yesterday, and get a clear on all three runs. Here’s a few little tidbits I picked up:

Castrum will pop every hour the instance is active, so use the Adventurer List to see how long the person with the least amount of time has. It gives you 180 minutes in the instance, so you can either try to find a baby instance and spend an hour grinding fragments/clusters, or work on Skirmishes/CE if you keep a close eye on the timer.

You get a minimum of 25 coins, but you can get bonus coins for clearing objectives faster. Augmenting boxes can drop randomly from the reward chests, along with field notes and orchestrion rolls.

Yell chat is your friend, especially for the first boss. Make sure you have it turned on. It’s also going to be very useful for everyone to make full parties, with 6 parties of 8 with a full 48 person Castrum group.

The bosses themselves are pretty dang easy. The most challenging one is the first boss, because there’s technically two that need to be killed very close to the same time. As someone who regularly runs alliance raids, imo it’s easier than a Nier raid. So don’t be afraid of joining it as long as you’re a high enough rank!

Finally, the only difference between the non-augmented gear (a full set costs 98 coins) and the augmented gear (which uses the Bozjan Runner’s Secrets and can cost you a pretty penny if you don’t get drops from Castrum) is that the augmented set will grant you haste when in Bozja. Otherwise, both sets are ilvl 495, have the same stats and two materia slots, and are dyable.
