This blog hasn't seen a lot of use. Along with my intent to eventually open up a website related to my youtube channel. Ive decided to abandon this blog in favor of one attached to said website at some future date. 

Time Rifters is an interesting take on first person shooters. Rather than ask you to play constructively with other players, they ask you to do it with alternate versions of yourself. 

Hence the name "Time Rifters" 

In order to give you a sense of how the game plays.... Its sort of like a combination of Mirror's edge in the aesthetic, Portal 2 in solving puzzles with yourself, and a little bit of Crysis for the shooty part.

New Years is a Couple Hours Away....

As I'm writing this post 2014 isn't far off, and Im pretty happy looking back at the past year. Its been a challenging year, but I made it. With no small amount of help from my friends. - Thanks for that guys. 

Chupacabra's Lair - Stuffs N Things 

We reached 70 subscribers last week! HUZZAH! – It was my mini-goal to hit before 2014 claimed us all. So Im extremely happy and excited. 

We have a couple projects in the works. Along with some similar stuff that has done well to date. 

1) If you play League, Savrek is putting together a show for league strategy and game mechanics. Covering champion counters, simple warding, and other stuff we don't see in the community. 

2) MORE INDIE! Starting with "The Last Door" - If you havent seen it check it out. It's very much like Kings Quest and other point n clicky discovery and adventure games. 

3) Mystery Show with Wicked Loot - Prepare yourselves for super duper professional grade stuff!

4) I dunno - other games, early access, and Nether. 

The Blog - I still don't really like Tumblr - But I'll keep trying....

The goal of this blog was less about what Im doing on Youtube and more about how. At least to start. By that I mean what I learn about the workings of putting stuff up on youtube, developing graphics, and marketing everything. 

Its been a month or so in coming, but Wicked Loot has a big old fancy Alpha for some of its backers to review and provide feedback. 

Retro Rising Rampage - What is It?

The Folks over at Wicked Loot decided to test out different sets of game mechanics by releasing a serious of themed parody mini-games. 

This allows a couple of things. First you clearly get to try out and test new mechanics and engine changes as you go. So that you have a well polished game at the end of the day. But you also get to test everything without releasing and potentially spoiling the story for everyone. 

I just found Spark Rising - What is it?

Spark Rising is a game that weds concepts of Voxel (block) style graphics from games like minecraft and cubeworld with gaming mechanics like Battlefront 2. Its got some FPS, a little Tower Defense, and a touch of free building and sharing like minecraft. 

Video Index - Chupacabra Style

Its been a long time coming but Ive finally gotten the time and motivation to create a stylish video index. Now the channel is one notch more professional. 

What is a Video Index?

A Video Index is simply a selection of catered videos placed at the end of what ever episode you just finished watching. That would either link to the next episode or a similarly related video. It drives internal channel traffic, additional subscriptions, and overall looks more official and validating.

- Big Subscribe Button - If you like what you see sub for more. Etc. 

Apple's Misunderstood Ad - Much adoo about nothing

This morning before heading to a meeting I ran into a news article about Apple's recent holiday advertisement on TV. Apparently the electronics retails are out to destroy our very moral fabric again. Which is a really dumb notion. If your kids wont get off the phone tell them to get off or lose it, ha-derp. 

Patience. That is the Game. 

Keeping occupied when you want to play one of seven games you've found on Kickstarter is to say the lease..... A bit annoying. Just a tad distracting. With a touch of discouragement. 

But aside from my efforts to stay motived, which everyone Ive spoken with who runs a Channel of some kind says is critical right now...... I have some things in the works for the channel. 

1) Two more indie titles: Cornerstone Demo playthrough. Which is another game that got funded on Kickstarter recently. Its like Windwaker meets Darksouls. With a touch more lore. 

The Second is Discoverie. A game that was made during a 7day competition by two guys. Another game design in Qubicle. Which I though might be a good change of pace while Savrek and I search for block based design inspiration for our next Tutorial. 

2) Continuing Forced: Forced is a pretty fun and popular game right now. Its got a boat load of decent videos popping up here and there. Along with a shit load of terrible ones. We might be able to bank on some good bandwagon views and subscribers for the channel. Savrek and I are going to finish filming episode 2 & 3 on friday this week. So stay tuned for more. 

3) Finish old projects: I really want to finish a couple old projects. Like Dead Space 3 playthrough. The trouble there is while I do have some more footage to work from, my partner on that series Ojaro is in college now. So if I want to finish that series it will probably be with Savrek much later. A lost series maybe. 

SWTOR is also on that list. I have one good episode left before I feel that gets boring. I dont think Ive ever seen a big MMO series on lore or general questing go on through the whole game. Ever. So I will end at the first Sith instance in that game, be a bit more of a jackass, then retire that series while its still somewhat fun.

4) Minecraft Playthroughs are coming for Galacticraft & Tekkit.
