The first story trailer for Bellolandia Studio's 'Electro Andes,' its upcoming South American pilot.

Set in a dystopian future shaped by Andean mythology, the project will make its world premiere at Annecy next week.

Bellolandia calls its approach "Sudakuga," a portmanteau of Sudaca, the colloquial, often derogatory term for Latin Americans, and sakuga, the Japanese word for sequences of especially high-quality, expressive animation.

"We consider what we're doing an anomaly. You don't get to see much anime coming from South America."
