if you like something, reblog it. Help the artist get their work out there in front of more people. Share the joy that it brought you. 

if you want more of it, support it. This can be via commissions, reblogs, recommending the artist to other people, shouting in the tags, or sending the artist asks/messages. 

if you hate it, keep scrolling. Keep the hate in a message window with a friend, not in the artist’s notes. 

if you want to use it, ask permission. Artwork is beautiful and you want to show it off. But please ask the artist before you throw it into your header or your icon. 

if you use it, give credit. And not just a post where you say “Do you like my new icon? X made it!”. Put it in your blog description, that way when someone rolls around your blog three months from now, they also know where your icon/header came from.

none of us are “better” than anyone else. We’re all trash for our particular show/film/book/ship/artist/what-have-you. My fave is no better than yours and yours is no better than mine.

In the wake of greenlighting Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio update, streaming giant Netflix is moving forward on a slew of animated projects, one of which is aimed at Latino audiences.

Netflix has announced that they’re moving forward on the limited series Maya and the Three, an animated project created by Book of Life director Jorge Gutierrez.

The Mexican animator, painter, and director has described Maya and the Three as a humorous “Mexican Lord of the Rings,” starring a female superhero who is half human and “half divine.” The director acknowledges that the fantasy genre is heavily male-driven and says, “this is my attempt to provide an awesome female hero.” Outside of that, the only facts known about it are that it will draw heavily from “Mesoamerican legends.” Gutierrez will direct four of the nine episodes in the series, as well as serve as screenwriter.

Just a year ago Gutierrez was discussing plans for a sequel to Book of Life, though there hasn’t been much public movement on that. Since the success of Coco which, like Book of Life, deals with Day of the Dead, it’s hoped that Book of Life’s sequel will be able to continue the trend of Latino-centric animated stories. As of right now, Maya and the Three sounds like a highly fascinating story that could take the epic in a new direction.

“I don’t like kids” means I don’t feel a particular affinity to children in a society that CONSTANTLY pushes the ideas of motherhood and maternity at me, trying to elicit socially appropriate responses from me regardless of how I feel about the situation. It means I don’t want the incredible responsibilities associated with child care and I do not desire to spend time with children.

But I will not tolerate abuse of children. Hitting, insulting, yelling and being dismissive of the needs of children are all forms of abusive and callous behaviour.

You don’t get to disrespect and abuse people just because they haven’t learned how to stand up to you and children at least deserve your basic fucking respect.

The Voltron creators and cast have been receiving extreme amounts of negative backlash since Season 7 aired. People are harassing the show’s creators, cast, and fellow fans. Project #ThankYouTeamVoltron is meant to be a response to this hate, by drowning it out with love.

What is #ThankYouTeamVoltron?

The new tag #ThankYouTeamVoltron is a fan project to show our love and appreciation to the show’s creators, cast, and fanbase. Use it to spread positivity to the cast and crew, and if you want, other fans! We want to help spread that love, too. We will be following the tag here on Tumblr and on Twitter and reblogging/retweeting posts made with the tag.

What is our goal?

We want to help create a more positive environment in the fandom, both for ourselves and the show’s creators! All of us should come together and support each other as the show enters its final season. 💕

I am the very model of a modern-age millennial, I’ve got no cash, no house, no kids, and student debt perennial, I know the rules of Tinder, and I’m not sold on monogamy (For what it’s worth I think that stems from troubles ‘tween my mom and me) I’m very well acquainted, too, with matters on the gender front Myself, I am nonbinary; your labels I so do not want Been disillusioned by my expectations with a lot o’ stuff, The skills with which I am equipped for life are frankly not enough

My job prospects are hobbled by insistence on a living wage Compete at entry level with some washed-up folks at twice my age In matters of identity, employment and such petty ills I am the very model of a modern-age millennial

On Monday I killed Applebee’s, on Tuesday I axed country clubs I’ve never bought a diamond and I have no use for cashmere gloves I quote dank internet memes in lieu of sharing actual thoughts For earnestness has been passé since sometime in the early aughts Still advertisers flail and fail to capture all my buying power (The sum of which amounts to renting GIG cars by the paltry hour) I’m subject to the bleak nostalgia of Generation Xers And YouTube sensibilities adored by web-savvy youngsters So I get to the take the blame for our country’s tanked economy While fighting for my basic rights and bodily autonomy In short I’m fucked in matters from the vital to the trivial I am the very model of a modern-age millennial
