  { It became easy to find Loki, wherever a floor was empty    she would usually reside there. Especially the floor    where her room was. It made sense that some of the    staff and Avengers avoided Loki, the pain she had    caused but it didnât make sense for it to last forever.    No one deserved to be alone eternally. }
     â I wouldnât say that. â
  { The smile that graced Lillithâs lip was that of a shy woman     not sure on how to communicate to the powerful Goddess     that resided in her tower. A friend. }
Loki smiles back, Lillithâs smile widening at the interaction. It was touching but as soon as it happened, Loki then turned away. The chairs in front of them becoming more entertaining.
     â He jumps out of windows all the time. At this rate,       heâs showing off⌠oh. Loki⌠what does reside there?       I never asked To- Mister Stark, as it wasnât my place       but I feel like I can ask you. Is it really that bad? â
She could never imagine what was inside the void as her herself had never left little Earth. Her only step into the route of monsters and magic was one day stepping onto the plane with Pepper, hearing the television make accounts and running after the reason for it. A little too late though.
   { Lillith looked back, her wide, innocent eyes blinking. }
     â Iâve tried. I mean, we go to the lab at such odd hours and       he constantly needs his coffee and music. I donât know       how to stop it and just go 'heyâ. I donât even know if itâs my       place or Pepperâs⌠Donât be too hard on yourself. I am sure       Mister Stark is bigger than that. He is paying for our meal. â
Do not show kindness to me. I do not want your pity.
     { Within a blink her face slips back into the carefully neutral        mask that she so often wears around others. Emotions are        for her only, the rest of the world does not deserve to know. }Â
   â Imagine the ocean. You are miles away from the shore and     you are in so deep that you cannot tell in which direction to     swim to reach the surface. You cannot breathe, but your mind     remains with you, and one thing, one thing above all others is     clear to you; you are completely and utterly alone. â
I see it every time I wish to travel fast. It flashes by my eyes in deafening silence, promising me that the moment I forget my destination, the moment I lose my focus, it will grab hold of me and never let me go.
     { In a way she envies the girl, envies her for the simplicity        of her troubles. At the same time, however, she knows        that without the chaos inside of her, she would go mad. }
    â I believe that his mind is his problem. Anthony is brilliant by mortal      standards, this I wonât deny. He is not used to encountering threats      that he cannot defeat, situations that he cannot control. It shook the      very core of his personality to realize this, and if he is who I think he      is, he has been breaking his mind to find a way to regain control. Yet      deep inside, he knows that he canât. The truth can be harsh indeed,      but it is better in the long run to accept it. Lying to oneself never works. â
Spoken by the goddess of lies herself. Cattle and pot, arenât we?Â
@theawkwardevansâ
  â Okay, Iâm dressed. Iâm clean. Iâm ready. Iâm pancake-less. â
    { Surprise! }
Lillith walked with Loki to the penthouse suite, pretending to be surprised was a lot easier than she expected especially with Thorâs loud booming voice at her. The party began with drinks and people welcoming her and congratulating her birthday, Stark organising speeches, presents, and food should come later. Lillith cringed slightly at the idea of giving a birthday speech but seeing Loki at the corner of the party distracted her from her thoughts as she made her way over.
  â I didnât get to say thank you. Thank you. I havenât celebrated    my birthday in years. The traditional way anyway. â
She looked out into the crowd, she knew quite a few people so she knew Stark and Loki had her interest at heart. She even saw a boy eating and dancing with a plate of food in his hands⌠was that her pancakes?
Within seconds of entering the room she already slipped away, casually moving herself to the edge of the party, to watch from a distance and avoid unsettling the other attendees more than necessary. Had this party been Starkâs (and had she been forced to attend), she would have ensured to steal his spotlight, but for Lillith she will behave. Thorâs presence had her reconsider her plan for a moment, but as soon as the thought crossed her mind she remembered that it would be pointless; there was no upstaging Thor, not for her.Â
Her lack of participation, however, did not mean she had nothing planned, so by the time the girl seeks her out, Loki greets her with a smile.Â
   âWhy, youâre very welcome. I could not miss this opportunity to     embarrass you, could I? Those speeches were quite endearing,     Iâm inclined to believe they truly tried their best.â
       Do I sound bitter? Iâm not, but does she know? Norns, be nice       for once. Itâs not that hard.
In an awfully theatrical gesture, she holds out her right hand, flashing Lillith a wicked grin while her left hand circles above the other, glowing a brighter and brighter green, almost blinding, until it fades to reveal a small package wrapped in light pink paper. She would never admit that she folded the silver bow on it herself. Inside of it is a silver bracelet set with faintly glowing, light pink gems. It had been quite a task, to gather the gems and find a jeweler that could process them the way she had in mind. Fortunately the light elves never disappoint.
   âHappy birthday, Lillith. I do hope you will allow me to attend the next    one as well. Our friendship is quite valuable, to me.â
The Bodyguard (Loki/Lillith)
@theawkwardevans
â Hilariously rude. Does that work? Is that even an insult? â
  { Lillith watched over her shoulder as she digged through her purse, eyes    scanning at the constant fashionable things she carries before seeing her    wallet which she provides a driverâs license from, Lillithâs suspicious eyes    turning wide at being proved wrong. }
â How?! How did you get one? My driving teacher was so scary. And I still havenât passed my theory. â
  { Why is Loki better than me in everything? }
â I could interpret it as such, if that made you happier.   Would you really wish to insult me before trusting   me with your life though? â
     { They reached the garage then, filled with extravagant       cars as far as they could see. Sheâd taken Starkâs       vehicles only a couple of times, but already she had       a favorite. A black, streamlined Audi R8, which she       discovered was already a year old, but still looked,       smelled and felt new. Stark clearly favored the flashier       cars, but she liked this one for its undeniable power,       despite of its subtle appearance. }
â You forget both my age and what I am, Lillith. What kind   of deity would I be if I could not even control a Midgardian   vehicle? You truly overestimate their difficulty. â       Â
I am who I am. Your approval is not needed.

The Bodyguard (Loki/Lillith)

â Still not funny. Rude, rude even. Â Rude I say. Â â
  { Lillith looked around the high-tech elevator, smirking over the cheesy    music that played, an obvious Stark choice. She wouldnât call herself    an expert though, that she so much as recognised what song it was.    It was a nice feature-. Wait a second, excuse me Loki? }
â Very! They make you take tests and everything! â
  { Lillith turned slightly, shaking her head dead seriously and frantically. }
â I hate you and I didnât. â
â Not funny? Darling, please, I am hilarious. â
   { She rolls her eyes and turns her attention towards her stupidly overpriced     but who cares since her money is not legally obtained anyway purse, searching     until she finds what sheâs looking for; a dark green wallet full of cards. She picks     her recently acquired driverâs license and holds it out for Lillith to see. }
â See? Perfectly legal. And I will charm our way out of any speeding  ticket we may receive, so there is really no reason to worry, no? â
   { Of course Lillith does not need to know that the license is fake... }

The Bodyguard (Loki/Lillith)
@theawkwardevans
  âNo, I do! I love liv- Wait, youâre being   sarcastic again. Thatâs not funny.â
       {  Standing in the elevator, she folded her arms like         the start of a two year old tantrum. Her lip out, her frown         intact she stares dead ahead at the elevator doors slowly         closing in front of them. She looked at the buttons beside         Loki, one was pressed; parking bay? }
  âI did say I was sorry about that- Oh.   Well I canât drive and I didnât think you could⌠  We could go on the bus again!â
â See? I am not that difficult to understand.   â But thank you all the same.  â
   { Never mind her efforts to stay far away from all other inhabitants     of that tower, or the sense of discomfort and concern that seems     to grow stronger and stronger when any of them come closer to a     specific set of rooms on the 54th floor... The irony is real. }
â Well, how hard can it be? â
   { She turns slightly and flashes the girl a devious smile. }
â I do hope you had something light for lunch today. â
@sohelish
âCanât speak for others, only for myself. Iâm not sure Iâd seek exactly the same knowledge he was after, but if I had to?â
âObjectively, yes, definitely an eye: I could always get a cool bionic one commissioned instead â not many ideas of what to replace an ear with. Although, knowing Iâd have to make a sacrifice, Iâd get a companion, allow myself to get attached to themâ- I mean, something tells me that, when an all-seeing, all-knowing Mimir is asking for your eye, he knows exactly what would make a meaningful offering in your particular case. Think about it, Odin enjoyed seeing the worlds as he travelled, taking the beauty in through his eyes. He gave up a whole half of what he was passionate about. What is a scenery to a wanderer, who cannot observe it?â
â You are taking this far too seriously. â
â But to counter you, what good did that knowledge do? He knows now that his empire will fall, Frigga and Baldr live in fear of his guaranteed death. IÂ live with the knowledge that I will cause the end of all times, and what kind of a life is that? And if I have learned anything about prophecies by now, they tend to fulfill themselves more often than not. Was this really worth an eye? He could have kept it and remained blind to this future that might not have been set in stone until he made that decision. â

@sohelish
She lets out a stifled moan and then, after a moment of heavy breathing, starts laughing.
âââMim, Odinâs eye thing! Thatâs one joke you got to let sink in though, I meanâ hha!â
â You are familiar with the tale? â A pleasant surprise indeed. One might wonder which other myths Hel had bothered to study.
â Then tell me, do you think he should have bargained to trade an ear instead? It is a popular discussion among those who are not particularly fond of him. â
@sohelish
âââââ-why?â
Say it. Say it out loud.
âBecause most sentient beings will eventually run out of eyes to trade for their aid.âÂ
â...what? I thought it was amusing. Well, you probably should have been there.â

@gcldenxxeyed
 That laugh sends a chill up her spine. Thereâs something off about it and she canât quite but her finger on WHY, but she keeps an unamused expression despite this. She swallows her emotions now, not wanting to give the woman any more amusement from her reactions.
  âRoyalty or not, it doesât change the fact that an attitude can be ugly.â Niya states, blunt and standing firm in her previous argument. Was this woman royalty for real? Sheâs met may kinds of people and mutants and creatures at this point, some queen or princess wouldnât really be all that surprising would it? âI donât think of myself as any better, I never said I was. And for the record, I do interact with others.â This woman, seriously!? âSo, who are you exactly, if youâreso important.â
   If she unsettled the other at all the girl hides it well. She flashes her teeth in what some might consider a smile, reaches up to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. The trickster had thought short hair would be easier to be maintain, but somehow it has only irritated her so far. She would not be wearing this particular disguise again.Â
   âOh, if only I could show you what I hide inside. You would be thrilled, Iâm sure of it.â But she is ugly, truly, too hideous for most to behold. But past that, she is bright, so very bright that it hurts, for no one can stare at fire for too long. âBut you do seem to be under the assumption that we are equals then, and in that you are wrong. Trust me when I tell you that these streets would be paved in mortal bones if I so desired.Â
@theawkwardevansâ
  â Of course youâre a lady. Stupid of me to assume. â
   A lady or a cool gang name? What kind of lady killed simple thieves    and dragged them across druggie parks for burial? Looking    at her and blinking several times to concentrate, she    looked more like she was part of the Adams family    than a lady but hey, maybe she was both and who was    he to judge? Robert slowly rose to his feet, his mind    not really paying attention to who was right next to him.    He wouldnât have know anyway, once a druggie there is    no need to do anything else for entertainment or for need.   â  So Lady Low-key, where are you planning to go with the body? â    She didnât even seem familiar to him and you would    think someone so serious and threatening would have    appeared somewhere in the news but he never really    paid attention anymore. Drugs took up his life now.    It was only source of entertainment. He looked Loki    up and down slyly, which in his slightly drug induced    state, was more obvious than he thought, before saying.   â Ah, well, a lot of people donât take warnings well until     itâs too late. But I do hope your example really makes     people pay attention, Iâm already listening and, er, um,     understanding the situation. â
   â Worry not, I will forgive your insolence. Your mind is too slow     to fully comprehend this, it would be cruel of me to hold you     responsible for your actions now. â
The warning in her voice is clear; he would not be forgiven so easily a second time. She is above murdering mortals like him, worthless even among this species, but she would certainly enjoy it regardless. And besides, there are already blood stains on her dress anyways.
   â I thought I would pin it to a tree by its right hand and leave     evidence pointing towards me in the other. Or perhaps I shall     sever the hand entirely and dump the body itself into the river.          â What do you think? â
He is a quaint boy indeed, to treat her the way he does. She did not smell any alcohol upon approaching him and his friends, but something does smell off and it is not the corpse in her burlap sack. Something chemical, unnatural, not meant to be used for recreational purposes. What has he been up to? The goddess might not be the only one who breaks laws today...
