I want to scream.

I realize that nobody wants to be advertised to and no community wants to be flooded with them but ffs this "link is not allowed" shit is just another way the internet has blocked all fucking reach for small indie creators. Another door to the face. Again. And again. And again.

I don't know how people expect to have fresh new kinds of stories or voices if every way has a wall in front of it. Or a subscription. Or a BLAZE/PAY THE CORPO AD FEE option. Fucking sucks, man. I can't share my work. Can't get people to see it. Goddamit it, my books are literally the only reason I still want to live.

So like. I dunno. This isn't a "pity me" post or anything, I'm just frustrated by the fact that I missed the golden couple of years when slop wasn't everywhere drowning out real voices and making everyone jaded and everything enshittified, when indie authors were starting to get traction and respectability as an alternative to big publishing bullshit. It wasn't a long period but it's always felt like the Millenial curse of It's Never the Right Time for You. I just want to be fucking SEEN.
