I Know You Know That I Have Magic Fingertips

So, despite being on this site for years, I've really only ever reblogged stuff, not made any posts of my own. I think the main reason is that I didnt get internet access until my teenage years and was trained to have a fear of strangers on the internet. That, combined with the tendency for online to become a panopticon where everything one says is scrutinized, has given me an anxiety about expressing myself, even through the relative anonymity of a screen name.

But fuck it! I wanna try! So with that, a little introduction:

You can call me Dectra. I'm bi, transfem, my pronouns are she/they, I'm in my 30s. Trying to summarize myself was always something I struggled with for things like dating app profiles, but some stuff about me (much of which you might surmise from the stuff ive reblogged over the years):

I started HRT last year! It's been wonderful 🏳️‍⚧️

I love video games and they're how I spend most of my free time. I play every kind of game, but I have a particular affinity for PS1 games since they hold a lot of fond memories for me.

I love monsters generally, and monster movies, I was (and still am!) a Godzilla and dinosaurs kid.

I play board games and TCGs, I've been playing MTG since I could read the cards, but I've dabbled in Yugioh and Pokemon too.

Speaking of Pokemon, I was the perfect age to become a lifelong fan. My favorite is Nidoking 💜

I have the brain disease (*cough* good taste *cough*) where I love mean, strong and evil women.

I like rusty, grungy sci-fi, superstructures, giant robots, blood and guts and gory horror.

I have written some stuff, nothing posted anywhere atm, I'd love to do more and finish things someday, but I do have a bunch of characters that exist because of that. I don't draw much, though, so I'd have to talk about them.
