Love when the way people try to explain that Tim didn't victim blame Jason is to say "It's understandable for a 13-year-old to say it was his predecessor's fault he died." Like... that is still victim blaming. You can still like Tim. He is not some irredeemable monster because he did this one bad thing. He was young, the people around him were engaging in the same rhetoric, we can understand why he believed what he did and still acknowledge that it was victim blaming.

guys there’s nothing to debate about in text victim blaming of jason. Implying that Jason could’ve acted in some way or another to prevent his own death or that there was something inherent about him that led him to die is victim blaming no matter how nice u try to put it. That’s why it’s so normalized and easy to perpetuate.
