Sister Shrew: Master of spells. Feared by the locals, she goes into town using various illusions and glamor, using mortals who cross her or annoy her as test subjects for her curses. With the eye she claims to see truth and deception.

Sister Swan: the master of divination. With Hecate’s eye she sees winding paths and crossroads the future holds. She sees a thousand ways her immortality could be compromised, constantly demanding the eye to keep herself safe, almost never leaving the cave. 

Sister Swine: The necromancer. She can speak to and summon the dead, and bring them back to life, as long as she has another life to exchange of similar or greater “worth”. With her magic she is the one who keeps herself and the other three alive. With Hecate’s eye she sees every soul around her, whether alive or disembodied.

Rare footage of an Eastern black rhinoceros [ Diceros bicornis michaeli ] and her calf, taken in the 1950s in Amboseli National Park, Kenya. The rhino, known as “Gertie”, had a horn that measured nearly 4ft in length before breaking off naturally sometime in the 1960s, possibly during a fight with another rhino.

The demand for rhinoceros horn has made sights such as this exceedingly rare. As of 1992, only 2 rhinos were left in Amboseli National Park, where the animal is now considered locally extinct, while the subspecies as a whole is listed as critically endangered.
