He wasn’t gonna lie, a part of him wanted her to sit next to him and keep company. Talk to each other about something normal instead of training or the Force. Despite how long the lethan was working under her, he didn’t know a lot about her personal life. All he knew was that there was this new person who was able to defeat her named Rey. A person who was apparently quite adept at learning the ways of the force.

Blinking, he looked over his shoulder and still saw Ren standing slightly behind him, her eyes watching everything in front of her it seemed. He then returned to the controls and made it seem like he was simply steering them towards Tattooine. “After about half an hour we’ll jump into hyperspace.” He stated.

She settled herself, shifting her weight between her feet every once in a while before resigning herself to sitting in the chair next to him and nodding about the hyperspace comment. All of the space travel she’s done she knew they could make the jump sooner, based on fuel levels and distance.

He naturally felt an anger there. Something that wasn’t boiling or even hot, but a small bit of warmth like annoyance but there was also calm and…eagerness? No. That wasn’t it. Sai felt…a mild curiosity?

After about thirty seconds or so of doing this he retracted and focused on piloting the ship with a small smile. “I feel like telling you anyways. It’ll help pass by the time since we’ve got a ways to go for Tattooine.”

There was a small sigh from the man as he navigated the two through the galaxy. “I was born on a planet that was used primarily to gather phrik and other materials. Corrupt companies gave us the bare minimum of safety gear to pass any check should enforcement come by.” He told her. “The planet was on the outer rim, naturally. It was called Orion IV.” His grip seemed to tense on the stick of his ship as the thoughts came rushing back.

“The mines were my home…and I don’t mean to say that like it’s a way of life. It was but…my father was a bit on the abusive side and as a result I stayed as long as I could mining on that damned planet. Eventually found out that I was able to use the force when my father got drunk once more and threatened my mother.” There was a silence as he steered through some asteroids.

“Names mean nothing. Who you are now matters, not who you were. You’ve come a long way it seems.”

He took a seat in the back and looked around at the patrons in the cantina, ordering a corellian ale as he looked at the time. “Damn…got here too early.” He muttered. An eyebrow raised however as he slowly returned his yellow gaze to a woman who was sitting at a table not too far from his.

Sai didn’t know why but there was something about her that reeked of…purity? But there was something else he felt. Was it…regret?

He was right about the regret part, and definitely regretted everything she had done. Rose had been exiled from The Resistance, the only thing she had ever known, her only sense of a family and even worse she could feel her sisters shame from the other side, the after life. She didn’t dare turn to The Order, that wasn’t an option. No matter what, she would not join The Order.

After he sat down across from her, the Twi’lek took a small sip from his cup and merely looked at the woman before him. Emotions were coming off this woman like waves and it oddly intrigued him. Her little attitude also gave him another small bout of interest about her. With another sip he took a small breath.

“Of course I regret it, and I know I’m stupid for making that mistake. It’s my fault yeah I get it, no need to tell me again.” She spat glaring into her drink

“My apologies. I did not mean to bring up such...negative memories. I merely seek to help.” He explained before adding “And why not find work? You’ll eventually find yourself out of credits if you drink them all away.” He then leaned back into his chair. Yellow eyes flowing softly at the woman. “Besides, work will help you forget about certain things. Never does the body good to dwell on such things.” A pause.

Everyone in the galaxy agreed that it’s more effective to just let the Skywalkers tire themselves out before resuming battle.
