Along with that anon about Jordyn's nick name "Dunny" I am also Australian and can confirm. Dunny is toilet. But I was thinking about when Jinger gets called Jing. Now Jing itself doesnt mean anything dirty but it is too close to the word "ming" which in Australia. Is a female reproductive unit.
Pwahahaha, ming has the same meaning in Scotland. I never made the connection, but will probably think of it every time now. (Annie)
âPraise the Lord my little Toilet Bunny!âÂ
âOh my Vagina is all grown up, He provides!!!âÂ
- all I could hear while reading this ask
When you wonât watch Counting On anymore because you got firedâŚI mean quit so you gotta make your own video.
đ LOL (Annie)
Hey yeah so the president definitely has dementia, maybe someone should keep an eye on that.
re: the google memo -- when I read it I didn't get any impression at all that they guy was saying women have "inferior brains". He says "the distribution of preferences and abilities of men and women differ in part due to biological causes" and references a study. I still don't agree with what most of what he said, but that seems like a far cry from "women have inferior brains", IMO
Oh ok, he wasnât saying women have inferior brains, just that theyâre different and not as useful, and that the women of Google therefore didnât deserve their jobs. And as long as he provided a study, which are infallible, itâs all good.Â
I too love being a snide, dismissive cunt and instead of reading the study myself to verify its legitimacy just offhanding it like âit says the uncool thing therefore bad and wrongâ
Agreed, being snide and dismissive is great, and I indulge it whenever I can. Of course, you didnât read the study either, because if you did youâd argue for it and make me look like an idiot. Iâm not of the opinion that thereâs anything intellectually virtuous about arguing a single study that flies in the face of all scientific consensus, because then youâd be wasting your time with every crackpot theory. But I decided to look it up and found this point-by-point breakdown of the whole manifesto: http://www.businessinsider.com/google-james-damore-fired-tech-gender-gap-science-2017-8
It looks like there are a couple of studies in there. Not only are they on shaky ground scientifically, but Damore draws wildly broad conclusions that are never implied by the results of the studies themselves. The scientific consensus overwhelming suggests that the only innate differences between men and women are physical, and even thatâs not particularly extreme in the grand scheme of sexual dimorphism. Yes, the uncool thing was bad and wrong, and believing it makes one a bad employee, a public embarrassment, a useless leader, a shitty coworker, an incurious thinker, and all around insufferable little asshole.

The Health Care Freedom Act: A Transcript
kentremendousblog:
INT. SENATE FLOOR - NIGHT
SEN. MCCONNELL addresses the august body.
SEN. MCCONNELL Okay, idiots. Weâve had seven years of the Obamacare hellscape, which, as everyone agrees, has ruined our country, killed jobs, slaughtered animals, and set the Bible on fire. But now the GOP is in charge â and itâs time for this national nightmare of âsick people being able to maybe not die or go bankruptâ to end.
SEN. SCHUMER Okay, youâve been talking about a replacement bill for eight years. Letâs see what you got.
SEN. CORNYN Whoa whoa whoa â youâre being a little âpushyâ there, Chuck.
SEN. SCHUMER Thatâs usually code for âJewish.â
SEN. CORNYN Nobody said âJewish.â I said âpushy.â Youâre being pushy, is what I said. Donât put words in my mouth. Anyway: read it and weep: the American Freedom Bald Eagle Old Glory Healthcare for Everyone with No Exceptions âItâs Gonna Be So Easyâ Act.
SEN. WARREN âŚWhere is it? We havenât seen it yet. Can we see it?
SEN. MCCONNELL No.
SEN. JOHNSON A little history for you: when the Democrats wrote âObummercareâ â
SEN. MCCONNELL (chuckles) Nice.
They high-five.
SEN. JOHNSON â they did it in secret, in scarcely 16 months, behind closed doors, with not even 100 Republican amendments, and barely 70 public hearings.
SEN. MCCONNELL Like you can craft anything good in 16 months!
SEN. CORNYN In contrast to that undemocratic process, we, the GOP, spent literally dozens of minutes crafting this, over chicken caesar wraps and Arnold Palmers, earlier today in the senate dining room.
SEN. MCCONNELL Enough talking. Weâve been discussing this bill for almost eight minutes. Time to vote.
SEN. WARREN Can we see the bill?
SEN. MCCONNELL No.
SEN. SCHUMER Can we offer amendments?
SEN. MCCONNELL No.
SEN. WYDEN Can we have public hearings?
SEN. MCCONNELL No. Go back to Oregon, you dirty hippie.
SEN. COLLINS Iâm voting no, Mitch. This bill is terrible.
SEN. MURKOWSKI Iâm voting no too. Itâs an abomination.
SEN. MCCONNELL (shakes his head sadly) Broads. Look, I know the bill is miserable. It would crash the insurance markets immediately. But who cares? This is just symbolic. This bill isnât going to be a law. Weâre just doing it to initiate a conference with the House, so we can actually pass a real bill later.
SEN. JOHNSON I just got a text from Paul Ryan. The House might just pass this bill.
SEN. MCCONNELL They might pass it?! Why the hell would they pass this bill we are about to pass?!
SEN. GRAHAM (fanning himself) This bill is abhorrent. Itâs absurd, I say. I shudder to think what would happen if it became an actual law!
SEN. SCHUMER So how will you vote?
SEN. GRAHAM Oh Iâm voting âyes.â
SEN. CAPITO This bill would devastate the people of West Virginia!
SEN. PORTMAN It would ruin lives! My own governor hates it!
SEN. SCHUMER Youâre both voting for it, though, right?
SEN. PORTMAN Oh yeah.
SEN. CAPITO No question. Voting âyes.â
SEN. HARRIS Can we read the bill now?
SEN. MCCONNELL No. Any word from Ryan?
SEN. CRUZ Iâve been texting him a lot. No word. Oh â hang on, heâs writing backâŚI see the little bubbles.
SEN. MCCONNELL Whatâd he say?
SEN. CRUZ âNew phone, who dis?â Guess I have the wrong number.
SEN. MCCONNELL No, thatâs his number. Itâs just: nobody likes you.
SEN. JOHNSON Ryan just texted me. I asked him if he could guarantee the House wouldnât just pass our bill.
SEN. MCCONNELL Whatâd he say?
SEN. JOHNSON (reading) âLook, this is complicated. This stuff gets a little wonky â I donât want to bore you with the nerdy, wonky details. Iâm kind of a policy geek, so I kind of get down in there with the nitty-gritty stuff, that other people are bored by, because theyâre not policy geeks like me.â
SEN. MCCONNELL âŚHe didnât answer your question.
SEN. CRUZ (checking Johnsonâs phone) Let me see what number you have for himâŚyeah, thatâs the same number I have. Weird.
SEN. MCCONNELL Itâs not weird. No one likes you.
SEN. GRAHAM (lying on fainting couch) My fellow members of this most august body, donât you see we are headed for a disaster? This bill cannot pass! It would upend generations of Senatorial norms and procedure, and devastate the very fabric of American society!
SEN. SCHUMER Still voting for it, though?
SEN. GRAHAM Oh yeah, still a solid âyes.â
SEN. MURKOWSKI Iâm still a âno,â by the way.
SEN. COLLINS Me too.
SEN. MCCONNELL No one cares, ladies. Go get your hair blown out or whatever.
SEN. HARRIS Can we read the bill now?
SEN. MCCONNELL (angry) No! Why are there all these women haranguing me?! How many goddamned women are in the Senate now, 95?!
SEN. WARREN Twenty.
SEN. MCCONNELL Seems like 95. Look: no one gets to read the bill. Itâs not a real bill! Itâs not supposed to become a law!
SEN. JOHNSON What if the House just passes it?
SEN. MCCONNELL Call that little pissant Paul Ryan and tell him they better not!
SEN. JOHNSON (dials) Paul? Itâs Ron Johnson. You better not pass this bill that we are about to pass, because we donât want it to pass, even though we are gonna pass it!
SEN. MCCONNELL Whatâd he say?
SEN. JOHNSON He said the process of passing bills is wonky, and itâs hard to explain, and heâll try not to bore me with the wonky details.
SEN. CRUZ Let me talk to him. (takes phone) Paul? Itâs Ted. Listen, bud â (beat) Oh, sorry. Okay. (hangs up) It was the wrong number.
SEN. MCCONNELL We were already talking to him, moron.
SEN. PORTMAN No one likes you.
SEN. WARREN Can we read the bill?
SEN. MCCONNELL No. No more women talking. Time to vote. Itâs a fake bill, and if the House passes it and all hell breaks loose, we can just blame Hillary or something. (calling out) Who wants to pass a fake disastrous bill that, if it became law, would cause the insurance markets to collapse, and 18 million people to immediately lose health care, but who gives a crap, because itâd be the Houseâs fault and no one pays attention to this stuff anyway?
49 REPUBLICANS Yay!
48 DEMOCRATS Nay!
SENS. MURKOWSKI AND COLLINS Nay.
SEN. MCCONNELL (aside) Must be that time of the month.
SEN. CRUZ Nice!
Cruz goes to high-five McConnell, who ignores him.
SEN. MCCONNELL Okay, one more vote. John?
SEN. MCCAIN I vote no.
Everyone loses their minds.
AMERICAN MEDIA MCCAIN VOTED NO! MAVERICK! ONCE AGAIN HE DEFIES THE PARTY! HERO! NO ONE HAS EVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS!
SEN. MURKOWSKI âŚI voted ânoâ as well.
SEN. COLLINS Yeah, Lisa and I are also Republicans who defiedâ
AMERICAN MEDIA WE REPEAT: THIS IS UNPRECEDENTED! LITERALLY ONLY JOHN MCCAIN WOULD EVER DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS! PLUS HE HAS CANCER â AND HE STILL CAME HERE AND VOTED!
SEN. HIRONO I have Stage 4 kidney cancer, and I voted â
AMERICAN MEDIA JOHN MCCAIN JUST DID SOMETHING THAT LITERALLY NO OTHER MAN IN THE HISTORY OF AMERICA WOULD EVER DO EVER!
SEN. CRUZ Bummer, huh guys? Anyone want to come over to my place, get some wings, watch a little âLife of Brian?â No? Rain check, then.
Flourish. Exeunt. Curtain.
Yeah, you know who also didnât have the Bernie wing? Hillary. Know who won the primary decisively and with 0% of their support? Hillary. I wonder what is it about the Bernie wing that makes pundits treat them like they make all the rules.Â
YOU KNOW WHY
Kamala Harris is a neoliberal authoritarian former prosecutor who once put up roadblocks towards a court ruling that would have released low-risk prisoners from Californiaâs overcrowded prisons. Her reasoning? California needed those prisoners to continue to work as firefighters at $2/hr. Releasing low risk offenders might cause the state to have to spend money on professional firefighters who make decent wages.
FUCK kamala Harris. Youâre a sick human being if youâre going to act like mythical âBernie brosâ hate her because sheâs black and a woman. She upholds the California prison slave system that way disproportionately incarcerates black and Latino men and profits off them. She would do nothing to alleviate the suffering of women or people of color, just like Hillary.
https://thinkprogress.org/california-attorney-general-says-her-offices-defense-of-prison-labor-evokes-chain-gangs-5c768fd447a4
Lawyers in the AG office were the ones arguing in favor of not releasing low-risk prisoners and acted counter to Harrisâ wishes.
Also, think really, really, really carefully before accusing a Black woman of upholding slavery.
I am so shocked that someone with the name âblackblocberniebrosâ would post a bunch of racist, misogynist libel and aggressively not understand anything about how any government institutions work. Who could have predicted this turn of events
imagine taking someone who tweets like this seriouslyâŚ
Uh oh, you guys, an incompetent spy who stole classified documents from her country for an international espionage organization run by a serial rapist (and then, before being caught for the espionage, also managed to get demoted for punching a female supervisor in the face) says Kamala Harris is a bad candidate. Thank goodness we have her guidance. I canât wait to hear more of Chelsea Manningâs invaluable contributions to our political dialogue in the years ahead. Really. I only have her blocked because her insight is so amazing I canât handle it all at once.
Iâve been laughing for 20 minutes

Progressives:Â âWe want single payerâ
Kamala Harris:Â âI support single payer.â
Progressives:Â âWhy is a not-Bernie thing talking.â
The way these guys single out women and especially black women is SO BLATANT. Like⌠the point man on the âBetter Dealâ economic plan is Chuck Schumer. Heâs the one with the byline on that editorial. Here he is at the planâs announcement event with several other members of congress; Kamala Harris is not in fact there. But the alt left instinctively understands her to be the face of the policy initiative theyâre currently dunking on, because for some reason, for some totally weird reason, sheâs their face of The Establishment. For some reason.
Meanwhile, what Kamala Harris has actually been busy with lately, policy-wise, is pushing her own bill aiming to get states to end money bail, a project that will materially help people dealing with the inequalities in our criminal justice system.
(Sheâs also been tweeting the past few days about the health care bill, the rights of incarcerated women, the fact that women make up the backbone of political activism right now, reproductive rights, trans rights, disability rights activists, underrepresentation of women and particularly black women in STEM, and of course Black Womenâs Equal Pay Day which was yesterday. Krang T. Nelson in the same eventful days contributed trenchant remarks about Anthony Scaramucci having to suck his own dick now.)
The Trump Administrationâs treatment of LGBTQ rights in the first seven months of 2017.
The dumster fire was predicted. The laziness and golfing are epitome of racist, white, male hypocrisy. The zero pieces passed is news to Trump who thinks his signing statements are the same as Congressional bills.
Thereâs a lot of positivity that says something like âMy sexuality/gender doesnât define me.â Â And while thatâs true for many people, itâs also okay if your identity does define you. Â Itâs okay if itâs the #1 thing on your list of self-descriptors. Â Itâs okay if you never stop thinking about it. Â Itâs okay if it drives most of your life and your decisions.
Itâs okay to be you, and if being you means unapologetically embracing your identity as a large part of who you are, no one should tell you thatâs bad or wrong.
