What if that 150 year old Victorian wants their prosthetic hand back?

Imagine a PC losing a limb in-game. There is no magical means to restore it, but they happen upon a crafty alchemist who animates a mechanical limb for them. Sometimes the limb takes on a life of its own, or perhaps the habits of its previous owner!

Write that shit as a story!

Imagine a small society (or cult) that worships/reveres constructs, and the higher your rank in the cult, the more prosthetics you have. Being purely flesh is seen as weak and fragile, but after a grim and horrifying ritual of amputation you are given your first mechanical limb, climbing the ranks until it’s nearly impossible to tell if you were once a thing of flesh.

Yeeeah that about sums it up...
