I’m in this car for 3(?) hours and I’m already bored so dps modern au on a roadtrip/a longer drive
Neil: Banned from aux. Too many musicals and Mariah Carey songs played. He’d get bored and try to take a nap after chatting with Todd for a bit but instead ended up making concoctions™ with Charlie for a lot of it
Todd: Never been on a drive longer than half an hour. Brought books to read and spent most of the drive doing that after Neil and him stopped chatting. Helped Cameron with his roadtrip scavenger hunt the rest of the time.
Charlie: On aux for the first half of the trip before he turned the volume all the way up, rolled the windows down, and blasted Cupcakke in a residential. Pointed out all the cows that they saw on the drive. Starts making concoctions™ by mixing together different snacks by crushing up/ripping/pouring them into the snack baggies. Dragged Neil into helping him make some and then dared the other poets to eat/drink them.
Knox: Listening to music on his own headphones for almost the entire drive. He would chat with the others but he’d spend a lot of time looking out the window and creating scenarios to his songs. He was the only poet that took up Charlie’s dare and vomited in the back of the car after ingesting the concoction™.
Cameron: Had a bunch of those roadtrip activity sheets to take with him, like finding different color cars/license plates/other little things. He spent a little time chatting with Pitts before he started looking green and then turned fully to his attention to his activity sheets. Todd and him made a really good team because they could see out of opposite windows and completed two of them in about 45 minutes. Got into an argument with Charlie abt the concoctions™ poisoning someone and got his “I told you so” after Knox hurled.
Meeks: Is the driver. He’s the only one the poets trust to drive that far and have them make it in one piece. Gets aux the second half of the drive after the cupcakke residential incident. It’s a lot of swing and jazz, mixed with some house music. Wanted to talk to Pitts for more of the drive but ended up checking instructions and singing quietly to himself. Is a pretty calm driver but yelled “fucker” at a driver once and the car was silent for the next five minutes while he fumed to Lester Young serenading them.
Pitts: Thought he was going to spend the drive chatting with his friends the whole time (brought one of those big spot the difference books just in case everyone was doing their own thing) but ended up getting unbelievably car sick. He spent most of the trip unbelievably nauseous with a bad headache and his forehead pressed against the window. He had gone pale and was visibly unwell early on and was handed a puke bag by Meeks and told to look out the window or close his eyes. He starts feeling a little better but decides to keep his head against the window for good measure. When Knox hurls the smell gets Pitts to follow right along with him.
