I really respect that they let both Yuuri and Victor cry.

A lot of people don’t understand what crying is. 

Society has built up this ridiculous notion that crying is weakness and that it cannot be done especially by men, lest they be considered weak and inferior. 

But crying is a form of relief. It is a literal physical reaction to too much emotion at once.

Crying is a form of strength, and to allow the main leads to both cry in ways that aren’t exactly attractive, shows character. Both are men. It is usually ‘unsightly’ for men to cry in any way. This was a big ‘Fuck You’ to societal norms. Specifically stereotypes for men in particular.

Real people cry, even if they don’t want to. Sometimes the body does what it wants.

Some people have mocked Yuuri’s character for crying so often, but that’s because they simply don’t understand. And that’s fine, ignorance is bliss after all.

By having both cry, it shows that Victor is not above Yuuri in the emotional department. And while he may struggle, he too can be just as ‘fragile’. By opening himself up in front of Yuuri like that, he bared his emotions and admitted how he felt.

It evens the playing field between them.

And I really like that.

GUYS THIS FUCKING BRIDGE IS THE SAME BRIDGE FROM EPISODE TWO WHERE VICTOR SAID GOODBYE TO YAKOV AND WENT TO COACH YUURI

AND NOW YUURI IS RUNNING TOWARDS VICTOR WHO WAS PROBABLY WAITING FOR YUURI WITH YURIO SO THEY CAN ALL GO TO THE RINK TOGETHER LIKE THE HAPPY FAMILY THEY ARE

ALSO NOTE

THAT VICTOR AND YURIO ARE WAITING FOR YUURI AT THE HALFWAY POINT OF THE BRIDGE

not only does it play back to yuuris internal dialog that victor always met him halfway through, but this can also be seen that yuuri is catching up to them, the two freakishly talented russian champs

They could symbolise victors inner feelings! before he met yuuri he’s in a cold dark place but afterwards its all warmth and sunshine! And not just for victor but for yurio too!

Yuri on Ice Eye Catches  Episode 1-12

Because I just couldn’t let this beautiful food go without a post. Also, if you didn’t notice, the foods origins seem to correspond to the main location of the episode its featured in.

Let’s not forget South Park made a reference to Yuri on Ice and Crunchyroll recently.

Kubo-sensei noticed it, and actually twitted (I don’t have the source for it rn but if someone do please add them) about it. I think she was saying something like wondering about canadian in south park or idk.

What I want to say is that : it was intentional. It was fully intentional and most probably a reply to South Park’s reference to Yuri on ice.

As in, they’re sharing an apartment. This is just a headcanon but it makes sense because in this scene Yuuri is running towards Victor and Yurio with Makkachin
