I’m sick and tired of being told by preposterously moralistic individuals and corporations that I should be ashamed of being a sexualized human being, that my lifestyle is something that is shameful and ‘adult’. Apparently you can’t even say sexual without offending these ass holes, you have to say ‘adult’ because they are too immature to use the correct terms and need euphemisms. My kinky lifestyle is not less valid than your collection of dolls or pictures of rainbow unicorns. And I’m sick of you acting like it is! Tumblr announces they want “ A better, more positive Tumblr”, and say “we’ve given serious thought to who we want to be to our community moving forward”. What the fuck does that even mean? Firstly, you are calling Tumblr a community, not a business - if this is a community then why did you have all these conversations in private? Why not include the COMMUNITY? You could have run surveys and asked for input. Secondly, as I said above where do you get the moral authority to tell me blogs about left wing politics and quirky houses are by definition better than those about humans being sexual? How dare you! Yes, my Tumblr has many likes and posts that are pornographic, but it was also my attempt to demystify kink and Dominance/submission to others, to share my life and support others who are marginalized and shamed by moralist ass holes like you. If you wanted separation, fine, you could have simply said all blogs with ‘adult’ content will be moved over to new .adultr.com domains or something like that. But no, you had secret conversations, and then dropped this on everyone with no warning, only two weeks to prepare, and right in the lead up to Christmas when most of us are busy with holiday preparations.
