With a slight bow of his head, Gavrill spoke. “You can call me Gavrill.” More and more creatures of the other realm are appearing. Not usually a good sign, but a sign Gavrill chose to ignore. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Somhairle. It’s been a while since we’ve come across other oddities such as us.”

And then, quite suddenly, Jamie is no longer there. Instead, Gavrill is looking at an uncannily accurate doppleganger. Kitten lips and all. “Hey, Gavrill-serpent. How far is a mile in kilometres? I never learned Imperial.”

Yet normalcy didn’t excuse his annoyance. His brows furrowed deeply as Jamie shifted into a perfect copy of the shade. He hummed. lips pursed as he looked the other over. “Well, at least you’re pretty sight now. Use google, dipshit.”
